low fps.

i mean, isnt it time to update the game engine ? i cant even play pvp with this video/net lag -.-''' can play other games at 50ping and 60fps, but sto ? 200ping and 5-20 fps on arena with extreme brakes at times. is this what we're paying for ?

net-24mb router
cpu- i3 m390 2,67ghz
8gb ram ddr3
geforce 610m 2gb with latest drivers
win 8.1 64bit

    The high ping is very little to do with the engine, ping is the length of time (in milliseconds) it takes for a packet of data to go from your PC to the server and back again, it's effected by issues with the network, and the distance and route between you and the server, the longer it is and/or the more server hops in between the higher the ping.

    The FPS could be many things, yes there are issues at the moment with the engine, specifically in areas where there's a lot of players firing off abilities, but also just be aware that the 610m is an entry level mobile gaming card and an older one at that, it's just not going to run games like STO very well at all and will generally TRIBBLE out in high traffic areas, trying knocking all your graphics settings in game to minimum and then slowly turn them up a little at a time until you get the best you can for the most fps you can.
