What is a defense array?

I've been looking all over, and I can't seem to find anything about it. The various grades of Obelisk Swarmers all have "Antiproton Defense Array" as one of their listed abilities. I've been trying to figure out what this even means. Is it a weapon, perhaps with a 360 arc? A bonus to resistance versus antiproton damage? A secondary beam that can fire at a different target, such as a torpedo? I mean, seriously, what the heck is it lol?

    Hmm, thats a good question and im surprised I never asked it myself. Im not sure but I believe its like a point defense system that targets nearby projectiles. If you really want to find out, go fight some Romulans and hold back the Swarmers until a D'D fires the triple heavy at you and then order them to attack,

    Though I wouldn't worry too much about it because the swarmers are one of the best Hanger pets even without knowing what it is :P
