An appeal to the Devs.

Call me impatient, or foolish, but I am posting here to appeal to the Devs on this issue (Devs can refer to pwe incident number 150702-000422) as I am not getting a timely response.

A few days ago, I purchased a monthly subscription. I have my main character (Starfleet, level 60) and a romulan alt. Membership bonuses did not come to me, and a re-install of the game 12 hours later fixed most. The last thing I do not have is a respec token for my level 60 character. After 5 e-mails to PWE/ Arc, I was informed my level 60 would not be able to respec because he has finished leveling. This struck me odd, as I expected 1 token to respec at this phase. The monthly membership states that you receive a Captain retrain token per level per character. I replied back - somewhat heated by the way- and informed again to credit my respec token for my level 60.

Now there is bo reply to my request. If the Devs are watching, please pm me or respond publicly.

Thank you for your time.

Respec tokens are given as you level - you have to start a new toon to earn them. They're account-wide useable, though.

I think they are account wide if I buy one though. The respec token my level 17 character earned has not been used yet. It is also non-transferrable within the account. Iy only shows up at the training npc when you request respec.

cause none of the american based devs would be enjoying their long holiday weekend and are just waiting with baited breath for problems to be posted in the forum

Respec tokens are gained every 10 levels while subscribed, if you were not subscribed at the time you levelled then you will not get one as they aren't back dated. To get a respec token you will have to buy one.

I have a feeling that devs will not be able to help you here.

I didn't get a respec token when I subbed for any of my lvl59-60 toons so it's obviously working as intended.

    Yes and no.

Respec tokens are not retroactive. Meaning, as you said, you only get them as you level up. If your character is level 40 when you subscribe you won't get the level 40 or lower respec tokens (you might be able to get the level 40 token if you haven't turned in the promotion mission, but all other tokens from lower levels are not granted). However, for a character who was level 40 when you subscribed you would get tokens at level 45, 50, 55, and 60, as an example. A new character will get all tokens all the way up to level 60. I speak from experience after buying a lifetime sub a couple years ago. All of my characters when I bought a sub were level 50 and had 0 respec tokens but characters I created after buying the sub all gained tokens as they leveled up. Since the level cap increase to 60 we get 2 more tokens, 1 at level 55 and 1 at level 60. Tokens are granted at each new rank (Lt., Lt. Commander, Commander, Captain, etc.)

Respec tokens you earn while leveling up are per character. They are not shared between characters on your account. Each character has their own set of captain retrain tokens. So if 1 character has earned 5 tokens and another has earned 3 this doesn't mean you have 8 tokens that can be used on any characters. The character that earned 5 will have 5 tokens to use and the character that earned 3 will have 3 tokens to use and a brand new character will have 0 tokens to use until that character earns them. Only the tokens from the c-store are account-wide and can be used on any 1 character per token purchased.

Thanks for clearing this up for me. I think this thread can be closed now.
