Hiatus from STO for awhile

i'm going to take break from STO for awhile. i was bashed on Risa 5 because i am Transgender which i explained to my friend.. not my fault. of course, they jumped on me about me being not girl and not transgender etc etc.. kept calling me "he" and using non-existing old name. they continued to bash me for 10-30 minutes.

it's so hurtful and degrading.
i'm really thinking of staying away from such kinds of people. even alot of Transgender people gets bashed just because of who they are.
i mean, how can players respond to someone like that? this is Star Trek. not really kind of such things to hate on someone like that because of what they don't fit/follow in with Society's views.

they believe the transgender can be bullied and hated, hurt. but it really does matter if the person who is transgender. they have alot of respect for being who they are and stand in adversity. here are alot of those people in job fields that are transgender. i love and admire, hug them all equally for being who they are in their jobs and proud of it. not afraid to show it off.

me.. i'm just struggling in my life.. i went through too many things that would make you break down and quit. not me. i break down and cry, but keep going.

right now, i just need little break.. i have too much things going on to affect my mood and my life.

    Please keep politics off the forums they only cause massive flame fests. I'm sorry for what happened but if you can't grow a thicker skin you don't belong anywhere near the Internet.

    Didn't participate in zonechat but I was there at the time. You're the person who mentioned shoving objects into your nether regions, right?

    Doesn't look like it was your transgender status that was the issue. Couple of people mentioned it was against the ToS too.

    Maybe if you stopped baiting people in zone with the explicit sex chat and took it to your own channel, they'd leave you alone?

    You also host faux "sex parties" in Risa Zone chat, which has nothing to do with gender bashing. I do believe the powers at Cryptic have been more than lenient with letting it slide for as long as it's been going on.

    I was there for that entire incident and one of the ones calling you out on it.

    Your gender identity had absolutely nothing to do with that incident but rather your repeated spamming of zone with extremely pornographic and misogynistic remarks.

    Identifying as female is something that no one present during that cared about, what we cared about is how you blatantly objectify and fetishise women.

    That you resorted to playing a gender identity card, though this was not the topic of the incident at all originally, as an attempt to justify such behavior only served to further insult all present, including women and members of the LGBT community, and contributed to further negative reactions and alienation by the community.

    I also witnessed your whining afterwards in your own channel about how horrible people are for having reported you for your above actions.

    The responsibility lies with yourself and not with others, and incessantly abusing your alleged identity as an attempted "get out of jail free" card only worsens matters.

    In conclusion, use your time away to think about personal responsibility and how you approach it.

    I was there as well. Not only did you believe it was perfectly sociable to inform us of your sexual habits, you proceeded to explain it away as "easing the sexual tension" of the other players. An act I am sure most, if not all, the players in that chat found wholly unnecessary. Then, as it was obvious to some of the players that had ignored you that it in fact was you , zonechat was told that you are known for this for awhile now, and that your gender is not as female as you portray in the game.

    A couple of the players who railed against you, tried to let you know that a woman would not subject herself to this kind of attention in a game that common sense tells you is overpopulated with boys, and boys who think they're men, and men who act like boys. Most of these were, in fact, women themselves. They found it degrading, and you were basically like: "So?"

    Who should and shouldn't be playing the game does not matter one bit, because just as you disregarded the TOS, common sense dictates that a few 12 years olds probably would and have and are doing so as well. Responsibility is indeed such a hard thing to do. But you have to know that there are boundaries as to what you put out publicly, and that the time and the place is of theutmost importance.

    If you are a woman, or a man, or gender fluid; g a y, straight, bi, or asexual: anyone with any amount of maturity does not put themselves out there like you have, unless they are fishing for a certain type of attention they aren't receiving in their real life. And you can say what you will, Cass, the fact that you mentioned also (much later, after you had gone off into your own channel to garner sympathy for all the supposed trans hate you received, and returned for more) how you would be a better mother to your children than your own mother had, screams to me that you either are a habitual liar and narcissist willing to do anything to get attention, or someone who definitely needs someone to talk to. Therapy, as much as most will probably ridicule it, may be something you want to look into. Because on the off chance that you have a chaotic life, the choice to set your life right and be happy lies alone with you and your decision making capabilities, as someone above has stated already.

    In closing, no one should tear your process as a transgender person through the mud, but you dangling your transgender status as a defense shield to not be talked bad about, after you've been informed that your decision to to get freaknasty in chat is not being well received, won't make anything easier. It's common knowledge that catfishing is a real thing, and that alot of people pretend to be something they are not. And that there are plenty of people faking the funk in order to get free things in an mmo. There are other ways of getting sympathy without forcing people to sympathize after the stunts you pull on Risa.

    No one would have known you were transgender if you hadn't mentioned it ( you know, when you were appalled at the reactions you were getting, while at the same time belittling everyone else because they couldn't 'lighten up').

    Well, the problem is yours in first place for listening to em. Just shut off the chat and thats it. Most people in this game dont use the general chat. Most people dont even use chat at all.. lol (unless they need to talk with your fleetmates or something). And the ones who generally use the general chat are just kids and trolls, mostly. Of course there is one small exception for beginners that are just trying to ask for help. But more than that.. So, just hide the chat and you will be fine. Ignore the guys you want and thats it. Problem solved. I tell you people in the general chat will bully a lot of people, not just you.. it is the way the general chat evolved in this game.

    And you should not be feel bad about it , you should be feeling confident about yourself, and ignore those dumb bullies that have no brain. Seriously some of em are just.. well, probably kids, so they still dont have brains to understand anything, specially stuff about real lifes.

    I really dunno who was faults, but it is obvious, whatever happened, they dont have the rights to call you anything. But you should have not said that you are a trasgender. That is really dangerous thing to say knowing how people behave in the STO chats...

    Whilst I agree with many of the sentiments you express, I could not disagree more with the final two sentences of your post. You are implying that someone that is transgender should hide away for fear that people in chat may insult them. This is 2015. No-one should have to hide away because of their sexual or gender identity.

    That said, I am highly sceptical of the original poster's account of this incident. I have unfortunately seen the occasional transphobic comments made in STO's zone chat from time to time (just like I have seen the occasional comments grounded upon racism, homophobia and other prejudices). That said, in each of these instance other players have rallied and not allowed such ignorant and prejudicial remarks to go unchallenged. So whilst there may be a few knuckle draggers, the majority of STO players are far more understanding and accepting. In addition, the posts by others appear to indicate that the original poster may be omitting certain facts about explicit comments she may have made in zone chat, which appear to have been the reason why people challenged her.

    I remember his/her username, and he/she was posting nudes(butt pic) on ESD Zone Chat some time ago. I doubt the hate was about gender things...

    1)hate spewing on TG, or anyone else. - Nope thats not very federation like, but we're not living in the perfect communist society full of love and happy pookas(epohh) that Roddenberry envisioned.... SURPRISE! people irl are petty, violent, stupid, reactionary, and hateful... Enjoy your reality check into human nature and let it teach you.

    2)you didnt like being hated on so you're gonna go hide. - Bad idea for anyone, running away from such behavior and hiding from it and/or pretending it doesn't exist won't help the situation at all. You need to accept that people can and will do these things and learn to live with that reality if you plan to continue to announce you are different from them in any way. Why? See 1.

    I was also not present on Risa for what had occurred (I personally finished my Risa events a couple of weeks ago).

    I did look up the OP's name on my ignore list, because it sounded familiar, and you are on it. I have even found the ticket where I personally reported you on ESD for your explicit comments. This is all I can comment on.

    The OP Is exactly the kind of person that should be permabanned from STO. This is a game played by younger teens and kids and it's not appropriate for people to be spraying their sexual fantasies across public chat channels to satisfy their exhibitionist streak.

    It reminds me of the old Droz before it got cleaned up, and not in a good way.

    Wow Cassandra Saturn. Many of us in ESD (Risa) know that you are a troll and a guy pretending to be a girl. Its not usually an issue as noone really cares about the sex of another player or whether they are playing a male or female toon. When it becomes an issue is when you sit in ESD (Risa) all day saying you have great TRIBBLE and flirting with guys in zone chat bragging about being promiscuous and sleeping with men etc. Now if you were up front with those guys first and said you were really a guy who wants to get a sex change etc, I don't think anyone would have an issue with you.

    You started accusing me of being an LGBT hater which is unsubstantiated and immediately attacked me in ESD chat. I havent been in ESD chat in at least two weeks and had said nothing negative at all about anything when you straight up accused me of this.

    So I the accused am setting the record straight. Stop bringing your drama to STO zone chat (Risa) and it's not wanted or needed here on the forums. Stop flirting with guys who think your are a girl. Hint, I was tipped off by another guy about you so apparently you try the same tactic multiple times in ESD and got caught. You need to take that mess to Drozanna if you want to do that. (Stop posting sexually explicit links in general chat and making sexually suggestive comments)

    I don't have an issue with anyone's gender choice or what they do in their private life. You don't need to advertise that TRIBBLE in zone chat for little kids to read though, and you certainly don't need to be misleading guys pretending to be a female.

    ​​I have seen some of the OP's stuff in Zone chat and is one of the people that I have on my block list.

    I support tolerance for all genders and sexual preferences, it's not about that. It's about you personally being an immature person that lives off generating hostility and then hiding behind your gender like a shield.

    Unless your approach to human interaction changes dramatically, then perhaps your hiatus is better off made permanent. I do wish you luck and hope that one day you realize that the common denominator in all these conflicts is you.

    People are people regardless of.. um Preferences, and hence deserve to be treated with respect. It's really stupid that there are people who will use things like that as a basis to attack.
