For some people in my fleet, the Nandi from the Risa event is their first T6 ship. I'm trying to come up with a cheapish build for them to use. When I say cheap, I mean no consoles from C-Store ships or Lobi store. This is what I have so far:
Fore: 3x AP DBB, Grav Torp
Aft: Ancient Omni, AP Omni, KCB, ???
Tac: 5x AP Vuln Locator consoles
Sci: Assim Module, Exotic Particle Exciter, 2x Embassy PartG consoles
Eng: Fleet Neutronium [+Turn], ???
Cmdr Tac: TS1, BFAW2, BFAW3, APB3
Ens Tac: TT1
Ens Univ: TT1
LtC Sci: ST1, Tyken1, GW1
Lt Sci: HE1, ???
Lt Eng: EPtS1, EPtW2
2-3 Purple Damage Control Engineer DOffs to "drake" the EPtX.
2-3 Purple Deflector DOffs to reduce CD on Tyken and GW.
Deflector: Solanae
Engine: Solanae
Warp Core: Obelisk
Shields: Solanae
This ship gear chosen, as it can be obtained via episode replay.
Tac Rom BOff from Embassy.
Hierarchy Sci BOff from Delta Quadrant mission.
I'm looking for suggestions to fill in the ??? and what gear you would swap in/out. Remember, it has to be non-expensive and relatively easy to obtain.

Engineering console, I would get one one of the Reputation Consoles. Either the Zero Point from the Romulan rep for the extra Critical Chance. You could also do something like Bio-Neural Gel Packs from the Delta set to lower cool down times. The Sustained Radiant Field console from the new Iconian Rep is also very nice (+20% Hull Healing, +20% Shield Heals, +10% All Weapon Damage.)
You could also use it for the ships unique console. It's not a bad console, more useful then a lot of ship consoles.
The limited ENG BOFF and console slots does make it difficult to make it tanky, but not impossible at all. You could sacrifice doing lots of damaging sci stuff and double up on 2 of hazard emitters, polarize hull, or transfer shield strength and still have room for a science team 3, which can have cooldown reduced with DOFFs and why I'd slot it in the LCDR sci BOFF slot.
If you have AHOD, you can use one each of all four from above and still have room for a single tykens rift to take advantage of the greedy emitters trait, or a grav well, etc.
Rear weapon - AP BA, for when you have to turn, then you have yet another beam on target until you face forward. OR - put the torp in the rear and add another DBB in front. Plan: blast 'em until you pass 'em, cough the torp as a finisher (unless you blasted 'em to bits.
Sci BOff - Tractor BR and get the reverse DOff for extra clumping to help with GW.
Get funky and have fun

Main thing is just play around and see what works best for you and the others, no two players will have the exact same build and play it the same way.
