Borg cooperative - No, being Borg is a LTS perk.
Cardassian - They already gave away too much in Lock Boxes.
Dominion - Playable genetically engineered slaves? No thanks.
Suliban - They're pretty much bombed back to the stone age, how would they make sense as a faction?
Xindi - They already gave away too much in Lock Boxes.
Other - Pretty much leaves this as a choice. Meh...
"Logic is a little tweeting bird chirping in a meadow. Logic is a wreath of pretty flowers which smell BAD." - Spock
I'd be okay with a cardassian/dominion/breen faction. That way you'd have access to several different species and lots of ship's. I think a Borg faction or half faction is stupid, but I wouldn't be surprised to see that happen.
Unaligned. There must be countless mercenary crews out there, operating on the fringes. Protecting worlds and colonies that are vulnerable now the majority of fleets are spread so ridiculously thin by the constant wars.
This might seem silly, but what is the appeal of the Cardassians? I personally have no strong feelings for them, but A LOT of other do? So, without any sarcasm and pure interest, what's the deal?

Out of the races on that list the Cardassians were the most featured in Star Trek. They spawned some very good episodes in TNG with their introduction in The Wounded to one of my personal favorites, Chain Of Command and a few others. Obviously they were a major part of DS9. Garak who is Cardassian happens to be many people's favorite character in star trek. There was even a Cardassian on voyager although Seska didn't really act like a typical Cardassian so its easy to forget.

I'd also add that the Cardassians got one of the most well-rounded portrayals...yes, they had their stereotypical bad guys, but they also had a lot of characters with depth, including some good guys, and others whose characters really evolved in either direction. Honestly, they (and the Bajorans) were more three-dimensional than Trek humanity could be sometimes.

Voted for Xindi, but would like to see a Voth playable species as well. And please, no Borg cooperative. You want to play as a borg, buy lifetime membership.
Taking the exclusivity to create liberated borg characters away from lifers and subscribers would definitely make me reconsider to financially support this game in the future. Playable Talaxians won't change anything about that
I'd roll a Cardassian. The other races really don't interest me as far as wanting them to be playable.
Oh well, im more interested in other races, precisely because a Cardassian faction will be a "meh" faction with a pile of non sense holes in the middle of their faction story. If you want a cardassian faction because of the content.. think again lol.

And that is your "excuse" to not support this game in the future?? ow... you are incredible guys.. i mean, seeing how many bad things are in motion right now about this game, you chose one of the most ridiculous ones to avoid support the game.. lol, so laugable.. xD. I mean, one guy with common sense will say "i will not support this game in the future because im tired of so many glitches, lag, sink mechanics and so on"... but, "because i dont have my liberated borg as playable because there is a faction of em" i mean.. xD. No comments.

My money, my choices.
Besides, what actually doesn't make sense is your comment. Those other issues (lag, glitches) are being worked on and therefore it's reasonable to assume the situation will be better in the future (and in fact it already is since last maintenance). Releasing playable borg to all players on the other hand would be a decision that can't be changed back later on and therefore such a decision would have a greater impact on my decision to keep or stop supporting the game financially.
Just because you don't see or understand the logic or common sense doesn't mean there isn't any. Don't pretend I'm stupid or without common sense or anything. You know what doesn't make sense to me? Judging and laughing at someone before you fully understand their reasons.
I really dont care what you do with your money, but then dont complain because this game keeps getting worst and bugs are not being fixed and so on. Hypocrisy is a dangerous thing. If someone thinks that is more important to have a liberated boff as a playable specie than fixing bugs and making the game better... well, i mean, im done arguing with people with your way of thinking.
I voted Dominion if given a fully free choice (and yes, I have my ideas how it could relatively smoothly be fit into the 'not too evil' and 'alliance' paradigm Cryptic requires), but TBH it's pretty much a non-starter given the promotion ships, so perhaps I should have voted other and said Klingon-Cardassian Alliance.

That's your opinion that stuff is getting worse... and don't worry, I'm done explaining myself as well. Don't personally attack people and when they explain themselves and their reasoning you just run away. That's kinda... pathetic.

My opinion?? dude where did you go the past 4 years, specially this past one??? o.O i mean, after what you just said, im done here lol.
Other - Deferi. The Deferi are the only faction in the game that would have made sense to be a "mini-faction" - sadly, Cryptic decided that they don't want to play with Defera anymore and left it to rot and then took the Romulans who should have been a third faction and butchered them into a cross-faction character choice.

Yes, your opinion. Or do you want to claim that you can speak on behalf of other people?
For me, it may have been difficult to overcome some of the changes that came with Delta Rising, but overall I'd say things are improving. We've gotten more episodes, new abilities, more free ships that are easier to claim. Yes, you may have to work a bit harder like getting spec points, but overall I'm faring better in the game than before. The rewards are worth it imo.

How can you be so sure of that? If they made the Cardassians sneaky, backstabbing and plotting like they used to be, the storyline could be very interesting. (reclaiming the empire, getting rid of the Federation). I just hope should they ever introduce a playable Cardassian faction that they don't turn them into yet another kind, democratic, human loving, diplomatic mini-faction.

Oh good, I was starting to think you'd never get off your soap box....
If there is a Borg Cooperative playable faction, LTS should be able to unlock a playable regular Human, Romulan, or Klingon who was never assimilated to begin with.

Personally I think the game has improved greatly.
My character Tsin'xing
But not True Way. That does neither Dominion nor Cardassian justice. It's just wrong.
