stacks:contraband

i know this might be the zillionth thread on stacks and/or contraband but they do need to eventually make the stacks from 250 to 999 so that we can conserve some space and maybe if they thought about it create different turn in contraband doff missions with increased rewards for turning more in. (i know the conserve space part of the statement canbe used for other consumables too)

    I'm not sure They know how to go back into the original software of the game, in order to change the original stack numbers.
    Everything They've added since The Romulans Upgrade has pretty much been 999, but all the stuff before that still only stacks to 20 or 250.
    Who ever did the original programming is probably no longer working there and it appears that They haven't been able to find the particular lines in the code to change it.
    (it's probably something that will take hours to find, and They don't seem to want to pay somebody to search for it)
    No facts to back this up, just a hunch.

    I do have to agree with your suggestion on higher turn in amounts. I for one want more Dil to flood the dil exchange so I can personally get more dil for my zen.

    It is a easy thing to do, but the problem is, there are a lot of items that should be modifyed to allow a bigger stack, so if they modify one they probably will need to look into other items and that will be a real waste of time and efforts for the devs. They already modified not so long time ago some items allowing bigger stacks, cant remember which ones, but it was done. Maybe in a near future they increase the stack of contraband. But about more missions, i dont think so.

    Yeah, it would be nice if Cryptic can increase the stack count. One of my KDF captains has 12 full stacks of contraband, my other 4 KDF captains combined probably adds another 18 - 20 full stacks.

    If they have different code for things, the game is in a pretty bad state and wasn't designed by someone that had a clue what they're doing. Usually you just have a table with that sort of info and just update the entry. But everyone missed the point. If everything can stack to 999 (or more, it could be anything really, the only limitation is what THEY decide), then people wouldn't need to be spending more Zen for more space.
