particle effects on beam weapons

not sure where to put thIS. but anyhow here goes. over the past years we've seen update after update and even an HD update when Delta rising came out. when will the particle effects for the beam weapons be updated? i've seen some impressive pics on the reputation stages of the beam weapons, but they don't even come close to looking that good in game. will the beam weapons ever see an update?
