Could we talk about this?

After doing House Pegh I remembered hearing that same-sex coples weren't tolerated in the Empire. Is this true?

    House Pegh. Intel specialists. Doing the necessary things that most Klingons find dishonorable. I think you answered your own question.

    PS, there are several "LGTB Fleets" out there. Quite aggressive in their attempts at recruitment and gathering support. I have had to block a few of their members because they would not stop sending me invites, even after I asked them to stop.

    The only soft canon reference on the Klingon attitude to same-sex relationships I'm aware of is in the Pocket Books novels, where it is a complete non-issue.

    Klingon society takes lineage very seriously, but that does not automatically prejudice against same sex relations; think ancient Greece.

    This reminds me of a line in one of the Department of Temporal Affairs novels. They revisited that group of humans from the 1980s that the Enterprise D recovered. The woman rejoined her 'family' and they were puzzled she was more bothered by two TRIBBLE people getting married than a human and an alien.

    Today on Risa I blew a kiss to a handsome brigadier general and got one back. It seems that Klingons don't have a problem with it.

    Klingons to be direct are the Samurai of ancient Japan... Modeled honor code, ceremonial etc.. Samurai (warring) would honor one another with what modern humans would refer to as homosexual acts.. take it or leave it.

    as what i consider a core Klingon player. i don't see an issue with what they do for pleasure. much like feudal Japan. reproduction as the house and linage lines dictate do not exclude pleasure and or how it is obtained or even actual love. As long as you preform your duty, what ever that may be.

    I just don't want that stuff shoved in my face or my children's face . I do not approve of open displays of a heterosexual relationships in public, not even hand holding, and expect the same with homosexual conduct. And i have to say after playing the mission a few times its mild enough that while you can tell what going on it just does not violate what i would consider an intrusion of my beliefs. So get over it please.

    extremely tolerant i believe. i say live and let live i wont force anything on you and you don't force anything on me. what people do in private is jsut that and it should stay that way. no reason to air your laundry out for the world . i mean are people just in such need of attention that they must do so?

    But, this is the STO Forum.
    Logic, common sense and good taste come here to die.

    On a more serious note, though...any discussion regarding canon in relation to STO content is futile.
    STO is not canon.

    btw: the appropriate term for "them gays" is LGBTTQ (iirc).
