I'd call it something like the, "Do the best with what you've got," build. :D Since I don't have access to fleet consoles and the like, it's pretty much the best I can do with the resources at hand.

(Note: the empty device slot has the Temporal Negotiator, but that hasn't been added to the items list yet.)

Comments, critiques and the like are welcome.

Well, that's funny to see. I also busted out the boat, geared it with spare parts and took a spin with it, even have the same boff setup.:D

Looks solid enough though it's kind of overkill with the universals. Some decent armor & shield consoles really wouldn't hurt.

Between my armour reinforcements skill and the enhanced hull plating (from the Starship Mastery pack), I'm getting the equivalent of two Mk XII VR neutronium alloys which is usually good enough to see me through all but the worst (i.e. every Herald ship firing at me at once).

The question I've been wrestling with is: what do I sacrifice to include the plasmonic leech?

Anything. It's that good. In any event, not a bad build though why you choose not to get fleet gear (even just damage consoles) is beyond my comprehension.

Proton stabilizer would be my first choice to replace with a leech.
Just to clear any eventual misunderstandings: it does NOT boost Ap damage, it's weapon boost strictly applies to the dyson rep proton weapon, the DSD's fused DHC and the protonic polaron's proc.
For your ship you only gain the little boosts in power & electro-plasma system. So, out with the stabilizer and in with the leech..

It's not through choice. The fleet I'm in has no other members (bar my alts) who play regularly, so there's no way I, alone, can unlock everything. Again, that's why I've had to make do with what's there.

It was for the weapon and engine power, as well as the EPS, boost.

It's either that or loose a tactical console, I suppose.

Thanks for the tips, everyone, I appreciate it. :)

Well, you could ditch the AP and switch to Protonic Polarons to keep the Stabilizer :)

But then you'd have to ditch another console.

If don't want to ditch the Proton Stabilizer, then how about the Nukara Particle converter? Your beams already got [acc] on them and you don't seem to run any exotic damage or tetryon weapons that would benefit from it. The +5 shield power will be easily out-done by the leech once its going.

check out NoP public service channel

all you need is provisions in your little fleets stores then get an invite to a larger fleets base to buy what you need. works for everything except fleet ships.
