Are Romulan Boffs Extinct?

I haven't seen a single Romulan or Reman Boff assignment since the sector update a few months back. Has anyone found any yet, or am I just that unlucky? I'm hoping Cryptic eventually takes notice to this and fixes it if it is a bug. :confused:

    KDF side I'm getting Letheans...Fedside DR got a Human.

    I have not had a Rom/Rem DOff Recruitment mission in 2015 that I can recall right now.

    I recently parked 2 of my toons in NR HQ to see if I can get the DOff mission.
    NO to ARC

    i've gotten the doff mission to pop like twice in the past 2 weeks thats it since before jan 1st lol

    Yes, they are essentially extinct. Ether the missions got totally messed up after DR hit, which is possible, but I doubt it.

    Or Cryptic are planning a nerf or even totally remove SRO's and Subterfuge, and they are trying to limit the number of Romulan/Reman BOff candidates in the game in the hopes that player dependency will lessen.

    I'd like it to be the former, as at least then thee "may" be an eventual fix. The latter is more Cryptic's style however with there now infamous "stealth nerfs".

    And the fact that out of the literally dozens of threads like this one (and there are dozens of threads and hundreds of posts on the same subject), NOT ONCE EVER has a Dev responded and said they'd look into it.

    That's a shame if it is true. I've been noticing my Delta Recruits Boff roster filling up with more and more KDF Boffs, with very few of them being Romulan at this point. I just want some blue and purple boffs for variety in ground missions at this point. Oh well, might have to save up and spend a bunch on the exchange. :(

    I am noticing the same. My DR Klingulan didn't have the Romulan BOFF mission once, I already assumed it was removed from the game.

    Not at all true. Borticus discussed it in the Doff forum, and in fact it was addressed in a patch 5-6 months ago. The drop rate seemed a bit better but since season 10 I think it has broken yet again.

    Rumor is that big things like expansions and season updates are being worked on months or even a year before they hit the life server. In order to work on these you have to start somewhere which basically means that when a new season/expansion hits, the game itself is thrown back to the build the devs build said season on, i.e. quite a few patch cycles earlier which means small fixes are likely to be reverted and have to be reimplemented in painful micromanagement. That would explain a lot, although I'm not sure that's actually how Cryptic works.

    3rom login daily on command center.

    Haven't seen a single Romulan boff mission since DR.
    Haven't seen a single Reman boff mission since.... years ?
    Seen plenty of other boff assignment. Pretty much 1 every 2 days or so.

    There was a post on REDDIT a few weeks back, and people claimed they haven't seen a rom boff mission since DR. I'd say it's bugged, but since it's Romulan, and BOFF, Cryptic doesn't care.

    I'll make a report post about it, but quite frankly, I think it will be quickly sent to page 3, unread. A reddit post would likely attract more attention anyway.

    Got a Romulan Science Boff recruitment mission today. Hopefully the fixes implemented today, mean the mission is back for good.

    Still haven't seen one yet ... 4 Romulan toons --> Tau Dewa Sector --> New Rom orbit --> New Rom Command - Romulan Flotilla ... nada.

    Klingon toon - at least 2 recruitment missions per day, even when in the Alpha Quadrant, from multiple different disciplines.

    Fed Toon - at least 2 recruitment missions per day - Even in the Delta Quadrant, even inside Jenolan Sphere Command, from multiple different disciplines.

    Yep, Romulan/Reman Recruitment, definetly not broken at all ...

    Ok, I also got a Romulan (engineer) recruitment assignment today. I was right over New Romulus in sector space.

    I was at New Romulus Command Center, instance 3. The mission was in the personal tab for two of my Rom/Fed toons, so I currently have 2 Rom Sci BOff recruitment missions running.

    Just got the mission on 3 of my 4 roms (2xfed/rom 1x kdf) 2 x sci and 1 x tac rom's, no remans yet !!
    All in sector space/personal tab, near new romulus

    I just got a Romulan BOFF mission yesterday as well! For the first time in quite a while.

    YEEEE HAAAWWWW ... I got one , I GOT ONE ... Romulan Science BOff Recruitment in New Rom command ... OF course my game crashed to desktop the instant I tried to swap toons to my other Roms <sigh> But hey, we cant have everything i guess.

    well thats easier to do from a warbird than a tent outside a city thats never getting built

    Yeah...I think I've only ever gotten one Reman boff assignment this whole year...which was right after they *fixed* the problem.

    FYI, when one does become available, switching to another RR character, doesn't mean it will also be available to them as well, they are independent of each other mostly. Not saying it doesn't happen but, most often it doesn't so, don't go getting you're hopes up!

    I happened across 3 Romulan boff recruiments in the last 2 weeks.

    It's back - but clearly, random as all heck.

    I have now gotten 2 assignments within the last week. One for a Romulan Tactical and one for a Romulan Engineering officer. First time in a long time I've seen these assignments show up.
