the new set,

http://sto.gamepedia.com/Radiant_Armaments_Set

the torp, it doesn't seem to be benefiting from my +torp consoles?

when I equip it it doesn't increase, all my other torps benefit from these consoles,

something wrong?

Not only bugged but very badly designed. Half the damage of normal Quantum torpedo with torpedo spread and less damage on average per single shot. Why would anyone use it? It’s a useless torpedo. Bit like the tethered Quantum mines which do half the damage of normal Quantum mines.

well, in theory it should work well with a strong gravity well and torp spread

but, that's only if it's base damage is increased by +torp consoles, just like every other torp out there

if it's not (and it isn't now) it really isn't worth using, I think

EDIT: ... maybe not work well, but work decently

Even with a strong gravity well its rubbish as it only shoots half as many torpedo's with lower damage per shot. Even with the radiation damage in a grav well its far, far lower then a normal torpedo's damage.

Well considering the last torpedo was broken and op...they probably made up for it this time by this one being broken and up'ed...probably take as long to fix too. :P

By the time it's tweaked to be better the Iconian War will be over and we'll be on a Q Rep reaping rewards for us killing Q beings. Because, why not?

I guess I'll just put it with my collection of other unloved torps then.

heh, it's almost like you can count the number of useful torps in this game on one hand

a bit of an exaggeration but also kind of true

It was the combination of higher TS3/TS2 damage PLUS the bugged Enhanced Armor Penetration trait that gave 50 instead of 5 ArmorPen.

It was much easier to blame the torpedo because specialists used it to kill people off. Meanwhile, the real "villain" was a huge boon to anyone who used it.

I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.

Well the higher damage was a bug...I can't see any real reason why the torp would be so low...I haven't heard anything about the special beam being OP with its haste...so there has to be something making this set great? Or it's just a bug...hopefully a bug...
