Morning Coffee - The one that keeps going?

Hey folks, it's Saturday morning, so I hope you are feeling good. Earlier this week I posted the first "Morning Coffee" thread. In case you missed it, "Morning Coffee" is a thread to say "hello" to the community each day, and discuss anything on your mind(in accordance with the forum rules, of course).

Rather than posting a new thread each day, it might be best if we just have a single ongoing thread to prevent multiple versions being on the same page at the same time. So regardless of how many pages this thread may get, just jump in and say hello and chat.

All of that said, I just had breakfast and watched an episode of the Office, so I'm in a pretty good mood so far. On the agenda today is to play some games and get caught up on a little computer work for my job. Also, I'm waiting for something I bought on Amazon to be delivered. How is your day going so far?

Right now, I'm being thankful that when the old coffeepot crapped out last week the wife insisted on replacing it with one that has a carafe on one side, and a single-cup brewer on the other, because right now I think I need a cup of Dark Magic...

Did it just stop working altogether or had it been getting slower pumping? Because the last one I replaced got to the point it took ... what felt like an hour(although probably a lot less) to brew a half pot.

Morning all! :) I'm actually at work (it's my Friday) and apparently moderating from a phone isn't smart lol. But I got some great plans for tonight and tomorrow so I'm looking forward to them! Hanging out with my husband, finally seeing age of ultron, having dinner with friends.

    Good times! :)

I don't know about anyone else, but I always wait for the DVD/Blu-Ray release or for films to show up on Talktalk Box Office, just a personal preference

Yeah I rarely see films in the cinema these days. I can't actually remember what the last film I did go to the cinema for... That's going to bug me now. I'm also really bad for getting films as soon as they come out on Blu-Ray, then taking six months before I actually get around to watching them. Sometimes more, like I just watched Maze Runner and Green Lantern for the first time today haha.

My advise is, don't expect it to be as good as the first one. If you like it better, great! But if you temper your expectations, you are less likely to feel disappointed, like I did. But that's not to say it was a bad movie, by any means. I just think that if you view this like a live action version of a saturday morning cartoon you will probably love it, but if you expect it to be en epic milestone like the first was(to me anyway), you might be disappointed. Either way, I hope you have fun!

Nice quiet day so far. Currently trying to gather sufficient motivation to crack on with STO's Cardassian arc. Hoping to get it done this weekend so that it's just a distant memory when the summer event kicks off.

Oh, and I'm watching Big Hero 6 again with some friends tonight. :)

Afternoon everyone (well just after 2PM CDT)...

I'm well into my Caregiver shift today...

Age of Ultron is worth seeing in the theater. Though I don't think I'd pay complete full price to see it. The GF & I saw it Mother's Day afternoon at a showing before the full price kicked in. It was worth that.

Right now... Grandma is watching the NASCAR race and I'll be getting onto STO eventually.
I also just finished catching up on scanlations of Gakkou Gurashi. A ANN article on the Anime adaptation got me a little interested. Now if the Anime can keep the atmosphere of the manga, I'll be thrilled.

    Thank you for the time...

In light of that comment, I should probably not mention that I've yet to see Frozen, Thor: The Dark World, and The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies.

Hmm...If you'll excuse me, I suddenly feel the need to visit Amazon Instant Videos.

Went to my cottage last night. Woke up this morning, had coffee, walked outside.
Was swarmed by so many black flies that I back into my cottage.
Needed some after bite spray. So I went into my car to drive to town.
    Realized I had a flat.
Spent two hours fixing the tire and finally get my after bite spray.
The guy didn't charge me enough. In the city it would have cost 100, he only charged me20. I don't understand how.
Spending the rest of the day in my cottage because my skin is so numb.
I hate nature. I hate it hate it hate it
Should I start posting again after all this time?

I'd go see AoU in the cinema but make sure to wait when buying the physical copy, it's likely they will be a Directors Cut or Extended Edition out later than the cinematic version, as with Days of Future Past.

11:55 get a big beer mug full of coffee will do and hit these forums right to this points i posted this. start thinking of creating a full roast dinner covered in gravy later on.. now getting more hungry. perhaps cover those boiled tatties in semolina again and deep fry them :P.

Well, I finally decided to log back into Champions Online yesterday, mainly based on this news:

    http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/champions-online/news/detail/9309803-revamped-tutorial-coming-soon%21

I don't like to play games that seem to have stopped development, and unfortunately that has how Champs has felt for quite a while. But this is an encouraging sign to me, because if a game is revamping it's tutorial they are either seeing a decent amount of new players, or are planning on doing some advertising. So, here's to hoping Champs has a brighter future :o

I don't like to play games that seem to have stopped development, because I don't like to get emotionally invested in something that has no future. But this is an encouraging sign to me, because if a game is revamping it's tutorial they are either seeing a decent amount of new players, or are planning on doing some advertising. So, here's to hoping Champs gets a little more development :o
Of course, in the case of CO any advertising would be new and different, but I have to agree - in particular, the way the tutorial has been revamped is designed more with new players than new characters of veteran players in mind. (The Qularr Invasion canonically happened in 2009; long-time players don't seem to feel the need to explain where their toons have been for six years, but those just being introduced might get confused by that.)

OTOH, I do hope this leads to cleaning up Westside and putting out some of the fires, or else another cataclysmic to explain why it is the way it is. Also, they'll need to change Hi-Pan's dialog in that one big meeting, as crediting the weakness of the MCPD to an invasion that happened six years ago is stretching things just a bit...

Considering you are a new account, this is your first post, and it includes a link to a different game website, I have a bad feeling you are just advertising. I hope I'm wrong.

I have had 4 hours of sleep two nights in a row. After taking in my car for repairs, I might then be able to seek out coffee. I expect my day is going to be even more 'fun'. But we have a rewards blog coming out today, so that'll be nice.

As long as it's not too hard to tell the difference between the discarded oil and the coffee. I used to drive cars to and from an auto-auction house; I've had some of that coffee while waiting for my pickup.

Interesting morning so far. Decided to play a little STO before getting on with my day and, just on a whim, picked up some lockbox keys. Won a T6 ship with both of my last 2 keys.

Now the proud (and slightly bemused) owner of the Benthan Cruiser and the Vaadwaur escort.

Am now fully expecting an absolutely horrible day; because I probably used up all my good luck on this impulse purchase. :P

    ...

On the other hand... it could be the start of a roll. Must remember to buy lottery tickets today.

You gonna keep those ships? :) The Manasa is super fun... "poor man's" Bug Ship, if there is such a thing (maybe aside from the Pilot ships).
