Borg Rumor Mill

so the rumor is, the borg are curious about the link between the Iconians and the Hobus supernova... so they attack new romulus... LOLWUT?? We're just a few sectors from that there areas guys... How desperate is cryptic to avoid making a new map or two?

    Desperate enough to throw everything they have at the Romulans, just for daring to be a non-Fed faction. :P

    It's a reflection of just how ignored the Romulans are that my first though on seeing this is "well, at least we're being involved..."

    And then we'll go to defend New Romulus, and Romulan NPCs will thank us with words

    The Borg? Are they even still a thing? For a "species" which has allegedly been around for so long, they have done a pitiful job of advancing, and even the lowly Pa'kledsu have surpassed them technologically by now.

    ((OOC: WTH, Cryptic?? Send some devastation Fed-wards already, without giving the FedBrats some new shiny the way you did last time. Or better yet, give the KDF and the RRF our new shinies after the recent affronts to us by the Ikonnsu.))

    Feel like this needs to be said.

    One, don't touch borg tech unless you are putting in the trash and by trash I mean a star.

    Two, keep borg tech away from Iconian tech. Borg created transwarp, I don't want to see what they would do with an scrap of gateway knowledge.

    This has been Ihho telling you to stop trying to match the Tal'Shiar.

    There are two coming. ;) Didn't expect one of them (so soon, anyway, and in the particular "grouping" they'll apparently be in).

    Only question (for me) is: which will drop first?

    honestly I kinda had to wonder the same thing. I mean in the stupid STF, the borg queen is all talkin about the borg not falling here.... sounds like they're asses are on the wall to me...

    also HOW MANY TIMES DOES NEW ROMULUS NEED TO BE ATTACKED BEFORE WE THROW UP A FEW THOUSAND TURRETS AND **** FFS!?!?!!

    Well, I have had this nagging feeling that Cryptic/Atari/Perfect World is going to have the Borg, Undine, and Tholians be the cavalry that comes to the rescue. As much as I would like to see them run interference against the Iconians, I doubt that they would really ally with anyone. The Breen, however, I see as being catspaws for the Iconians. It would not surprise me if they had manipulated Thot Trell into attacking the Deferi, though that would be clich
