It depends...I imagine it's something that would have to be tested...because something like the Tachyon glider are completely on hit...and some things like weapon procs have been specifically modded so they have a equal chance to proc as DC's (Which is one of several reasons DHC's are better...which this is a dome change they made).

It's a bit confusing if it applies (10% chance to explode) to each hit or fireing cycle.
Tbh i find it a bit disappointing that there is so little explaination from the devs about game mechanics for years.
OT:
I think they should just remove cannon/beam types and make them into Energy weapons, differing only in damage and fireing arc. FX should be players choice.
