Photonic Officer Tailor inconsistency for KDF

I was quite excited to learn that the photonic BOFF was now editable in the tailor.

I duly reported to the tailor to redesign their appearance (the Starfleet versions) at the tailor.
Two of them used the Custom Alien template so they wouldn't look like standard humanoids.

Then I thought, okay, let's flex the creativity muscles on the KDF photonic and see what kind of interesting Custom Alien I can come up with.
What do you mean he's restricted to Klingon appearance options!?!?
Yes, that's correct, all I could do was change his outfit, he didn't have access to the Custom Alien templates.
In the end, I was so annoyed at the lack of options, I just turned him into a faceless suit of Omega Armor.

Given that I could freely edit the Starfleet Photonics any way I wanted and couldn't do anything with the KDF equivalent is not good.
I remember the last time a tailor error like this happened, it took 2.5 years for a bugfix to be applied.

I had no issues with the KDF on my Lethean, I made the Photonioc Officer into a Lethean looking alien. My only issue were some bugs like flying stances etc that the NPC's have access. Shows that Cryptic could give us a lot more options if they made those stances player and BOFF supported.

My biggest greef with the Delta Recruit photonic officer is that we couldn't choose which gender which annoys me as I wanted a female on most my characters. Means it will just sit in the bank account on all my characters now.

The tailor can sometimes do very strange things.
I've stopped trying to make sense of the logic, except when something like this happens.

My KDF is not a Lethean, he is a Custom Alien (no, he is not a fakey human) and maybe that is causing a problem with the templates.
I'd guess it has something to do with the way the reference table calls to the outfit options for specific kdf species, if that makes any sense.

I haven't checked recently, but I do remember the formal offduty options were never available to my KDF crew, even though it wasn't a uniform.


And what is the Delta Recruit Photonic Officer?
I've never heard of it.
Is it new?
If it's one of the Delta Recruit rewards, that would explain why, I didn't pay any attention to any of the information about the Delta Recruit system.

There's your problem. The non-Delta Recruit Photonic officers are locked in to the base race they already are (They're not given full alien customization)

The Delta Recruit Photon Officer is an Engineering Photonic Boff that has the alien gen turned out.

The Science and Tactical officers are still "Klingons" at their base, sorry!

I am not using the Delta Recruit Photonic Officer.

The Photonic BOFF (Science) I have is the one from the referral program way back when the game was pay2play.

But I asssume it follows the same rules as the one you referenced.
