Occasionally due to either my own error or lag related, I accidentally start the 20 Hour research project in a school I already have at maximum level. I then have to either not use that crafting slot or spend 18K dilithium to "finish now."
It would be a nice feature if that project would be unavailable to start if max level is already reached.
And/or fix the bug where you select one school using the tab on the left, and it shows a different school on the right.
I've sometimes crafted a basic tech upgrade I didn't want because the UI showed the wrong school and I just quickly scrolled down and clicked without carefully reading.

Seconded on both of the above, I find it rather annoying having to double check to see if the school I clicked is ACTUALLY the one I've selected.
Admittedly I haven't maxed out any schools yet, stopped trying once I hit 15 lol, but removing or repurposing the research projects when maxed just makes sense.
It would also be nice to have an "Abort" button just in case you goof up and slot a project you didn't want or need the R&D slot back to craft a training manual or something, but I can see how that could open up an exploit, so perhaps not...

Or if it converted to skill points...
So. Many. Times! \o/
