The Scimi is OP (almost) regardless of what you put on it.
Go with Romulan Plasma from the Romulan Rep, with the Console and Experimental Beam Array. Then get the Omega Rep Console and Torpedo and you're good to go.
If you can get access to a Fleet Starbase, get the Elite Romulan Drones as pets, otherwise get the Elite Scorpions also from the Rom Rep.
Stick a Tac in the universal seat and you should be right to face anything. If you want to max out your DPS there are numerous builds around, but if you just want a 'decent' setup. the Scimi is the easiest ship to outfit.
It does get a bit "boring" though. It's fun to fly for a while, but it's over the top damage ability means it loses it's charm.
Get yourself a Mogai if you want more of a challenging experience, or, if you just like to fly in slow (sssslllloooooowwwwww) circles as a Tank/whale get a D'Dex.
The devs are pushing Beam Arrays in FAW gameplay post-DR it seems. If you have only standard DHCs and torps on a Scim and you're going to be disabled a lot in Gateway to Grethor, as the Iconian probes very quickly zoom past your firing arcs on both sides when you approach the groups. A wide-angle DHC and a couple of single cannons will help, but even on my much more maneuverable Mat'ha that was running DBBs I had to put a couple Beam Arrays fore and an Omni aft to kill the probes. Going full Beam Arrays on a Scim would be highly recommended.
Besides that, definitely get the Polaric thing from Delta Flight, the extra Inertia rating will help with the slipping and sliding, which you'll need for closing radiation gates in Gateway to Grethor.

This is the great scimi build. If you want plasma weapons, use plasma weapons, and if you don't want fleet gear (for some odd reason), swap out the locators for normal tactical consoles and the core for a non-fleet thorion-infused one.

There is no Tau Dewa sector patrol any more, you can now just patrol several systems throughout the sector, and it will automatically give you the Bonus Romulan Marks each day, you can then run system patrols for an extra 15 Romulan Rep Marks at each system you do.
Also, as mentioned Epohh Tagging on New Romulus is still one of the easiest ways to make marks.
Ok. thanks bause I still have it in my mission lisst under my mini map.I am flying my Mogi retro as I ma not in the delta quad anymore.I got enough poits to get up to T5 rep.

Tacs are overrated.
