salamiinferno regarding the recent confusion and surrounding the Summer Event and the incoming changes that are forthcoming, I thank you for the apology to the player base and stepping in last night to explain the situation, although i don't agree with the decision as part of the decision does penalise players that played the previous events to reduce the amount of time required to grind the new one, which of course would show less particaption in the next event.
If you haven't already an Apology needs to be given to Trendy, why ? you may ask ! she is the person having to post the news about these changes and she isn't being fed all the right information by the Devs to communicate incoming changes, i'd include patch notes in there as well. The messenger is being shot and its not fair. This isn't Starship Troopers where Trendy's the mobile infantry sent to do the dying while the Dev's are Starfleet who do all the flying.
Thats twice now you've had to step in due to a lack of communication the Dev's have handed Trendy to post, the other being the dil weekend where it wasn't announced until after the event started reputation marks were no longer being rewarded a dilithium bonus.
You should not be having to do this if it were done right 1st time
You need to a have more hands on approach with you're team and make sure updates, incoming game changes ect are properly communicated and understanding received by your customer base. This goes for bug fixes and Quality and Control issues as well. Maybe things are a little to cushy in the Cryptic offices and the hammer needs to fall.
Whoever passes the info onto Trendy to post they need to take more accountability, In other words they make a mistake you manage it accordingly maybe they should be made to address the player base.
You have a forum here start using it. Theres a direct link to here on the game launcher so its the 1st place people would be going for information. Not Twitter or Reddit
To sum it up this is having a negative impact on you're business as you are upsetting customers and losing the trust this is damaging the company brand.
