Now that Cryptic has started introducing a flood of new ships for all the factions, I'd really like to see one that's based on the D7/K'tinga design. The Koro'tinga would be a great model if they took away the thin bars and strengthened it here and there. The nacelles need to be beefed up slightly and the hull needs to be solidified also. Nothing wrong with the mission pod on it...it looks sleek which is better than having a house sitting on the back of the main hull. Also, the front end/bridge is also good.
Have several variations for the neck, straight, saw-toothed, etc. Keep the nacelles tucked slightly under like the D7/K'tinga.
I'd purchase something like this if the lines were akin to the D7/K'tinga. Call it a fast-attack cruiser or whatever. Based on a solid design with a stronger hull and more robust power conduits, etc. Make up a story.
But that ship is like 200 years outdated and kind of ugly
To each their own. Personally I think the d7/K'tinga is the prime Klingon look, even 'Qo'nos one' the highly detailed K'tinga model looks sparse and utilitarian, just what the Klingon ships should look, rugged, no thrills, ready to blow your enemies asses into space dust.
Later designs are nice and have some very good styles and points to them, but in my opinion the classic D7/K'tinga (more the K'tinga than the D7) just extrudes that predator look and feel.
I agree with the OP that a Fast Attack Cruiser styled one would be awesome, alternatively a cruiser styled destroyer like the Breen 'cruiser'.

I would love a t5 variant of the K'tanco, but I can still fly the low level one in sector space so oh well.
If they did update the D7, the Romulans should get it too, they used them in ToS, it could either be a sinularity core Rom variant, or a Romulan ship with a Warp Core.
Thanks for the Advanced Light Cruiser, Allied Escort Bundles, Jem-Hadar Light Battlecruiser, and Mek'leth

Yeah the K't'inga has always been my favourite. Too bad when don't even something that even remotely looks like on in game. They all miss the round underbelly that was main difference between the earlier D7 and the upgraded K't'inga. It is about time we get one that looks the part.
Or a K'vort class.
A carrier? I actually think it's time they remove those from the game.

I don't think they should be removed but I do believe ships like say fed science, raiders(bops), carriers, etc have potential its just most missions out there are built and catered to the pure tactical vape crowd. Where as ships like the carriers and the birds of prey which to some degree go hand in hand because the carriers can launch them need content/queues that are based on using them sort of like possibility of raiding something or someone

DING! SALE!
First off, love your sig, can you link a wallpaper sized version?
On topic, I know it's really a cruiser, but the thing's escort sized, it's about as large as my Mat'ha at best. I'd love to barrel roll in it as a pilot ship, although I know that's a pipe dream. Still I support an updated version.
I just hope with the new tier six bop they are supposedly working on, its solid, not gimped, and is NOT another ancient B'rel design. Call me strange I hope they use the Heg'ta Heavy Bird of Prey look.
T6 D7/K'Tinga is good with me provided we also get:
- T6 TOS Connie/Connie Refit
- T6 T'Liss.
"After a time, you may find that having is not so pleasing a thing after all as wanting. It is not logical, but it is often true. Except for a T5 Connie. That would be f*%#ing awesome." - Mr. Spock
T6 K't'inga would be so great. I'm just sweating over what iteration will serve as the foundation for the new in game model. It will probably be the TMP version instead of the TUC version. I just hope they don't use the CGI model as the basis, that thing was a poor imitation.

Ning'tao is my favourite BOP. Would be awesome if they made it so all BOP skins could be used on the T6 version. I would consider buying that for my Tactical then.

it would be nice to see a high poly K'tinga.. with the dome on the ventral surface.. correct nacel lighting and markings on the hull, and propper windows, including the red lit windows on the conning tower forward.. Love to see a ST-TMP version and the Qo'nos One version.

Not a valid comparison.
The K't'inga is in at T3 / T5 because these were still frontline ships at the time of the Dominion War.
By contrast the T'liss has never been seen since TOS and the Connie appears not to have made it to the TNG era (although its stablemates, the Excelsior and Miranda, did).

Well, aren't there kitbashes that use Constitution components in DS9? So if you put them all together...:P . Who says T6 3-pack of Connie kitbashes! Collect them all and you can rebuild Connie-refits :P.
Love the K'tinga and have the tier 5 fleet version. Sadly, if they upgraded its in its current rendition, I'm afraid players would be disappointed. It only has 3 tac consoles and a LT and ens Tac slots. If they gave it a LCDR tac slot over the LT it would mirror the boff layout of the Neghvar and if they gave it a second LT tac slot it would still lack in dmge. With the beam spam going around, this ship would underperform. It would also bring me to tears to watch this iconic Star Trek ships fly like a federation cruiser. The scimi is enough, but the K'Tinga and the B'rel are the most iconic ships in the entire Franchise outside of whatever flippin Enterprise variant is in the show your watching. They would have to redesign its boff layout completely for this ship to be worth the time.
the qib is the tier 6 ktinga in everything but costume. in addition to some great intel skills and a battle cloak, its got the 11 turn rate and a small size.
i would not be surprised at all if we see a pilot vorcha, soverign and proboly mogai before too long.

Agreed. The Qib is really ugly though. When the released the iconic pack and the Neghvar had almost an identical boff layout I kinda figured we'd never see a tier 6 Ktinga. The logical upgrade for the Ktinga would be to upgrade the LT tac to a LCDR. For some reason Cryptic thinks a Neghvar is iconic but the Ktinga isn't . . .
Well given the two possible BO layout options that we appearently have nowadays on T6
IIII III III II I
IIII III II II II
they could always do something creative and make a ship with two LtC TAC, like this:
IIIIIII IIIII I
Though that's possibly something they could consider for the Vor'cha/Mogh as well.:)
The TOS klingons were super aggressive so a double tac lt cmdr makes some sense. However the TNG elitism is too strong in this game/crowd so it probably wouldn't happen. Something more realistic would probably be the fleet k't'inga+lt cmdr sci. But maybe that's just what I want for my support K't'inga build.
Honestly though in the end I would be happy as long as the extra seat was a lt cmdr anything. That split between an extra lt or lt cmdr is just pure favoritism and greed from the devs.

That's interesting, I actually approached this subject from a totally different angle when I thought about the BO layout.
IMHO the TOS Klingons were not as aggressive as the other incarnations. They were actually more the kind of folks who did what had to be done with other concerns a distant second.
As far as a ship is concerned my approach was that of a 24th/25th designer sitting down pondering how the get the most out of this workhorse that has carried the Empire for so many years. And...well it's a very small ship that's probably easier to refit for speed and fast strikes than anything else. So it's the ship with the most similarities to an escort/raider and that's how the layout came about.
Whether or not that's what it was originally intended for in the 23rd century is probably not so important.
After over a century of service it's unclear how much of the original parts are still in there
and if it could still perform its original function in a different era.
Also we did see the K't'inga as something like a "heavy raider" in an episode of DS9 ("Rules of Engagement"). They could've just used two Birds of Prey or a Bird or Prey and a Vor'cha. Yet both the creative staff behind the camera and the Klingons in the show decided the K't'inga was a good idea to send on a convoy raid.
As far as a support role is concerned I thought about that too, but there's the Kamaragh for that role.:D
My thoughts exactly. WTB pilot K'tinga with 10 sec single target disable. Console beams mobile emitter containing hologram of General Chang who continuously quotes Shakespeare to Captain and crew until disabled.
If they did update the D7, the Romulans should get it too, they used them in ToS, it could either be a singularity core Rom variant, or a Romulan ship with a Warp Core.

I'm sure your DPS is great, but as Kahless said, "a petaQ with high system mastery is still a petaQ." (Well, he should have said it...!)
I agree we need a t6 version of the Vo'Quv. With t6 quality BoP hangar pets.
I agree unless it is a T6 Pilot Vor'cha, in which case take my money.
