Tier 4 iconian ( spoilers )

It was already hinted with the tier 3 message but the tier 4 one pretty much confirmed it now:

"Bureacauts ... the curse of the galaxy"
Vorta

...

"When we fought this empire decades ago, i was impressed by the strenght and ferocity of their warriors"
That quote clearly refers to the Jem Hadar

...

"Now I am in awe a the labryinth that keeps you seeing from their leaders"
With labyrint they mean the vortas again and leaders the changelings

...

Too lazy to write everything down
Launch the USS Hypetrain , the dominion is coming!

    I was a bit disappointed when i got that message.
    Sela Bell ringing dominion diplomats.
    Well.. there is still T5 :)
    Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...

    because right now all we know for sure is that sela has met som dominion officials but that would only mean at this point the dominion will probably get involved but it doesnt mean there will be anything playable about them, and im not sure where the idea of cardassians come into it.

    You and me was walking down the road and we seen a goat with its head stuck in a fence.
    I said (insert your name here) look at that I believe I'll knock me off a piece of that I hear its almost as good as a real women. So I go over and start doing my thing. I look over to the left of me and your just standing there watching. I say (name) are you gonna get in on some of this action. You say, ah man I've been waiting forever for this.     The Dominion wiped out the combined forces of the Obsidian Order and Tal Shiar in a "It's a Trap!" scenario.

    The one thing they never seemed to anticipate was Section 31 though.

    I hope this time around the Dominion is more aware, and not have the Iconians have a similar top secret ruthless organization.

    Same here, disgusting race of the worst kind. Torture etc. only thing worse was putting families on a star ship. Might as well called it the USS Palestine.

    I think we may see a scenario where the Dominion help us but seize control of Iconian resources, suddenly becoming a bigger threat again.

    I don't think we're in for a playable Dominion. I think we're probably in for a playable ANTI-Dominion faction that includes Changeling, Vorta, and Jem'Hadar. The Dominion proper will probably wind up as the bad guys of the next expansion, along with the HurQ.

    My personal hypothesis is that the Hur'q are one of the races of solids that provoked the Founders into creating the Dominion.

    They may be coming to be part of the story line, but doubt this is lead up to them as a faction.

    Last podcast interview said hinted what factions could be a possibility some day, but nothing was in the works at the moment, and nothing anytime soon.


    A scenario that the Dominion helps us, but the founders are wiped out in the process would go about making the faction more playable for the future.

    but yes, i mean playable dominion doesnt make a lot of sense for these imperialists and it wouldnt make sense having jem'hadar that can make the big choices besides founders and the vorta are not fighters and i doubt you will see founders holding guns. yes there has to be a way to explain the dominion if there is to be a playable side of that coin.

    My bet right now is..

    T5 Message: "The dominion is not in right now. Please leave your name and a system you can be reached at after the beep."

    Yeah, so much hype for dominion/cardassian faction? Dont you see that romulans still arent finished and you want more?!
    But whatever, Cryptic will surely monetise it well... 200 bucks for "Cardassian struggler pack" containing 6x reskinned Galor, Hideki and Keldon for each tier. And how about a "Cardassian operative promotion token" that will be needed for each promotion? Just a small price about 2000 ZEN. START YOUR CARDASSIAN RECRUIT TODAY!

    when you get to T1 in Iconian rep, you get a device from Sela that lets her send you messages about what she's doing. but the messages don't have NAMES.... Instead they are descriptive. The first one talks about how she went through the "Prophets' gate" to a place where no one thinks of her as a traitor, and where no one knows or cares that she's a Human/Romulan hybrid. this suggests she used the Bajoran Wormhole to go to the gamma Quadrant. She later talks about people she met, and it sounds like she's probably talking about Vorta and Jem'Hadar.

    Missions are fine, but they still lack the distinction of independent faction because they dont have their own fleet holdings and must join either fed or kdf fleet.
    Most ships? Is that a joke? It is not funny, you know. Most ships have feddies regardless of if we compare pre-t5 or t5 and higher number of ships. And allied t2-t4 ships are irrelevant, they dont have a place in endgame anyway, they are just uni-console holders.
    Romulans only have the advantage of slotting up to 5 SRO BOFFs, singularity powers and all their ships have battlecloaks except R'mor and Talvath.(And they have weaker hulls and shields plus 40 base power per system to alleviate that)
    From my point of view they are not finished. Make them their own fleet holdings, unique Omega reputation space and ground set with visuals, SF academy-like map and separate them from kdf and fed in PvP queues. Then we can talk about cardassians/dominion, finish what you start, Cryptic!

    While it was fun at first, it almost feels like STO is becoming the Crosby Show with Sela solving everything and being 3 steps ahead of everyone and managing to talk to the Dominion of all organizations, when, in TNG, she fails at anything most of the time.

    Interesting argument however, fleet holdings are built by players, not by Romulan federation/FED/KDF itself. Another thing is that it is at the same level of ridiculousness as jumping from cadet to fleet admiral rank in mere 40 hours of playtime. So dont think it is that unreasonable to have their own faction starbase. It could look like Vauthil station, it is not like that no designs of romulan starbases are available.

    T5 Could also be:
    "We, the Dominion decided to throw Sela into Mount Doom and to replace her with a Shapeshifter, for the sake of all living beings"
