I guess my problem is that everyone is turning into admirals. Even Tom Paris .. I loved that character but I never saw him as becoming admiral... And frankly so shouldn't all the players characters either .. I am telling you, basing a players rank on progress directly to your level was a bad idea .. Specially since it's so easy to go though all content and that this is a building story ( as it should) and new episodes keep coming. Just because x number of years has past doesn't make you an admiral. I would have been content seeing him as just a captain or even a pilot.
When are all the critics here going to post their IMDB pages? We obviously have some seasoned veteran voiceover actors and screenwriters here. Let's see what you're all made of!
Oh, wait--I forgot. It's the internet. My bad.
My Foundry Mission--Name: Falling Star | Mission ID: HQIH36HAW | Faction: FED
I don't remember Paris or Kim being so juvenile or childish but they have always been annoying.
I found it hard to believe a trained starfleet officer would let themselves be spoken to like a child in front of both their superiors and lower ranking officers.
But then again its only a game and the story was quite interesting either way.
we have the whole Kuvah'magh angle that is not used when it would make more sense to do it
am I the only one who played federation character and actually played all the missions with no skips?
or ma I the only one WHO READ all those dialogues?
the whole Kuvah'magh thing was clearly used and fullified during the fed-klingon war arc - at least when you played fed player - dunno if its told when you are kdf.....
Personally I think a lot of the voice acting in this game, needs to be redone. Not sure how it's done for video games, but it sounds like a lot of the voice overs are recorded independently. Like they have someone say some lines and then splice those in with the others who say lines.
It doesn't sound smooth like the different actors are interacting with each other. Voice overs need to be smoother,...
"Go play with your DPS in the corner, I don't care how big it is." ~ Me "There... are... four... lights!" ~Jean Luc Picard
I think Robert Duncan McNeill phoned in his performance. Only Denise Crosby, Michael Dorn and Leonard Nimoy sound like they're properly in character.
Denise Crosby definitely sounds as though she phoned here in. I was not a great fan of McNeil's performance either, though I don't think it was as bad as Crosby.
Ethan Phillips, however...even his Winter Wonderland voiceover, of all things, was spot on.

Actually, Paris seems to have done a Kirk and gotten busted back down to captain. He didn't last as an admiral. There's one of the dev blogs where he and Admiral Quinn are talking about just that. Quinn remembers when HE was a captain, Paris was an admiral, but now with Quinn as the admiral and Paris as the captain coming to Quinn with a request, they both agree it's better this way.

I enjoyed the new FE's with Tom since they brought back his sarcastic side even if it was a little inappropriate given his rAnk. You also have to understand that Tom may have been more informal simply because he was dealing with these rebellious team members so it required loosening the slack a bit as Obrien liked to say.
What struck me as very odd actually was when the Republic romulans used human expressions in the FE episodes.
I thought Tom's voice sounded strange, or had some kind of strangeness to it. I shrugged it off as not having ever heard his voice much anyways, since to me, Voyager was a crime against Trek.

I think Denise Crosby has taken a trip without leaving the farm. That chick is totally off her rocker, or onto some kind of new age head trip.

That, I do not have any evidence to say. I'm only looking at her performance in game...I don't think it's my business to say why.
