I have not--the throttle numbers you gave me seemed like a significant hit, especially in QSS (29.9 vs 34.81). With that said, I need to get around to doing that mission anyway, so I'll probably throw them on for a speed test if nothing else.
A few things to keep in mind: Fold has a 15 sec cd. It also does not require you to be moving.

It also got an unadvertised buff with the revamp in that the jumps are now about 6ly instead of 2.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

Can I ask what the total reward is for completing either quadrant/both quadrants in Tour the Galaxy? I have the Obelisk core and a Tac Oddy...I have the credits and what not for the Borg engine but really have been saving up the dilithium for fleet gear.

    Thanks for the replies!

Total for completing both quadrants, including all completion bonuses, is 925kEC. For partial completion, every waypoint you visit is 25k.

The Borg impulse engine is at tier 3 omega, not 2.

    Forums thread "tour the (bigger) Galaxy" has lots of information about tour. I'm on my iPad right now and using my gf PC so don't have my details to hand. Incidentally I've been hitting around 11minutes for the fed side with;

Borg engine, obelisk core, polaric modulator, lead foot, vesta and diplo (working on raiding party) and 9 in driver coils. Only thing I'm missing is the doff buff which is hit and miss and given my times, not needed but worth mentioning.

Kdf I've got to around 13minutes with same setup but veteran ship.

Romulan around 14 but with veteran ship and a singularity core I forget which one but obviously can't use the obelisk core. Looking at 10-13 minutes with rp when I get it in a few days. I could get kdf and rom down further but it's a marginal improvement and not worth it.

I use the quadrant transition method as it saves trans warping but my route has changed bit by bit as I wanted a route odd and rom can use and then I wanted to end up at a place I could then do other stuff or be near a holding to trans warp for free.

Interesting routes mentioned but some I find baffling as they seem much longer or have a ridiculous amount of unnecessary turns. Unless you have a vesta which can turn around 25.5 at qs, the veteran ships are around 6.4 kdf (even less for rom) and other ships even worse. Minimising turning helps keep qs going longer so less time overall.

I'll look at trying some of those other routes but for now happy with the route I have which I think helps minimise distance, fewest sharp turns and shortest distance. From what I can see my routes nothing like those mentioned but then again my fleetmates collectively all came to the same route and that is similar in time to mine which goes to show there are plenty of routes out there that are relatively equal in efficiency.

When I've got rp I'll see how that changes things as qs etc will probably change and affect the kdf and rom, fed will be okay as I can turn so well.

So the good news is I've got rp Ican use when I need it and one of my fed toons made it in 9:25. The kdf is down to around 11:55. My roms screwed up but still made it with around 13 minutes but the use of qs is out of synch I'm only using it half effectiveness so am looking at changing my route to make it more romulan friendly. The big reason will be because the romulan a lack the obelisk core but I'll try tomorrow to see how good it is without mistakes. Expect 12-13 minutes.

You don't need an obelisk core for the romulan, pick up a cheap VR core off the exchange with the SSR mod on it.

Don't need? They can't use it on warbirds so need is a mute point. I use one of the rep cores as its something I already have. I'm not so much. Interested in beating tour it's now how fast can I do it and the obelisk core seems the best.

Or if you have access to a fleet with the appropriate dil mine resources, you can buy an UR warp core there with Coi and SSR for a very nominal price.

Interestingly I played around with the warp core variant t didn't see, worth while and just dumped rep singularity core. Yes it's on the dilithium mine store for anyone who's interested if I recall.
