How to search faction specific on exchange?

How do I search for only KDF or Fed alien Boffs on the exchange? I type in alien & it comes up with both Fed & KDF officers even if I have the "only show usable items" marked to "on". So how do I search for only the Boff of the faction my Toon belongs to (ie if I'm in KDF only search for KDF boffs)? Any ideas?
