Well, April is undergoing its last hurrah (perhaps already over depending on where you live). May is soon coming. So my fellow warriors, brothers and sisters whose hearts have been forged in battle, are we going to have another Festival?
What festival is this? I've been really getting into my Delta Gorn, so if something is going on, may be interested.

A Romulan Strike Team, Missing Farmers and an ancient base on a Klingon Border world. But what connects them? Find out in my First Foundary mission: 'The Jeroan Farmer Escapade'
I'd love to go but starting NEXT weekend (not this one) I will be in a new apartment and won't have internet at the immediate moment and will have to shop for it.
Ok, here's one that "can't be done"...I challenge you to find a team of any 5 kdf players and do Pi Canis Sortie Bravo and Path of the Warrior! Cryptic has made sure we can't do it anymore by leaving the freighter raid off the revamped map (along with anything else involving a ship interact in sector space), but I would love to do it on my delta recruit who currently has 3-4 versions of these missions stacked right now.
More viable options might be to try to get enough people to do the queues that are going to mostly likely be removed soon due to Gecko's infinite wisdom, things like "Breaking the Planet" or "The Big Dig" on KDF side that I've not seen a group pop for in several years now.

If they threw in a choice of marks (which includes the latest Iconian marks) and have it scaled so time spent doing it was worth the rewards and make the queues cross faction many would be playing them.

I like the idea of playing the KDF specific Ques which no one does any more. I am unsure of which ones these are outside of the obvious ones.
As to the April Festival falling flat: I was unsure of where to meet and who was participating. I was able to use the Chat channel but was unable to link up with others who wanted to participate. My game time was limited during the event due to outside circumstances as well.
I suggest the following:
- Pick an accolade title to wear during the event so others can see who you are. "Disenchanted" was bandied about a long time ago as a way for KDF players to express their dissatisfaction with the game in general. For awhile, lots of KDF were wearing it and it was a half decent gesture of solidarity and comradeship. I don't care which one we pick as long as everyone can have it and it is visible to everyone else who wants to participate in the Festival.
- We need to simplify the meeting place. It should be someplace which everyone can get to and has enough space to accommodate a lot of people. Meeting at the bar for one group of levels and at Ganalda for another group seemed to not work as well as it should have.
- TALK to one another, please! If you see someone in the same place and instance as yourself and even if you are unsure if they are participating, hit them up in Chat. I'm not saying we need to take it to the level of jabberwocky that passes for conversations on ESD, but a simple "Nuneqeh!" would be appropriate. And if the person you Chat up isn't in your Fleet or group, so much the better.
One more thing:
Find yourself a KDF newbie and mentor them! According to the Powers That Be, KDF makes up a fraction of the playerbase. Let's make an effort to make that fraction the best part of the playerbase. Like it was in the old days when one had to level a Fed to 25 to unlock the KDF. I realize not everyone is skilled enough to successfully mentor a new KDF player and that's okay. If you cannot do so because you lack the talent, ability, or desire, then you cannot. I, for one, will not think less of you. Too many new KDF players do it wrong because no one took the time to show them right way. Flying a BoP well in PvP takes education and practice. It also takes good guidance from someone who already knows how. Either by teaching someone new or by being a positive example and role model.
