Missions Aftermath - What happened afterwards?

In the Federation tutorial, Vega Colony gets assaulted and assimilated by a surprise Borg attack. What happened after? I can't imagine Starfleet would have allowed a Borg base to remain so deep in the heart of the Federation. Did they assemble a task force to retake the planet?
Then there's Cirini Prime from 'Shadow Play' which was blockaded by the Romulan Star Empire and was being courted by both them and the Romulan Republic. Again, what happened after? Especially when Sela later disappears. Do they join the Romulan Republic? Or is the Star Empire still clinging onto it?
For that matter, what's happened with the Romulan Star Empire during all of this? All we hear is that they're in 'disarray' and factional fights that Sela stopped are renewing after she disappears. Did formerly Star Empire worlds decide to change alignment to the Romulan Republic and its relative stability? Is a full blown civil war occurring among Imperial loyalists and the Iconian-backed Tal Shiar?
Any other locations or storylines anyone else is wondering about?
