It has been nearly a year since we last ran a poll to see what the community wants Cryptic to focus on in terms of adding new items to the Foundry. Many things have happened since then, we have lots of new stuff in game, and we've had a number of assets crossed off the list (Space stations, New ESD, etcs).
What I need from the community for this round are suggestions.
Please post here with Costumes, NPC;s and any Mob Groups that you think should be added to the Foundry. Once I get the lists compiled, I will open the voting for a couple weeks.
I've looked at the previous polls to get the new list started, and I'll be adding in anything people suggest here as we go.
Work in Progress List

Costumes Pieces
So, post below with your suggestions.
Some things to keep in mind:
-Consider not just what you want, but also what might be of value to the widest variety of authors.
-Be detailed, so I know exactly what assets or maps you're requesting.
-The only things we'll get are ones already in the game. It is unfortunately not feasible for Cryptic to build assets only for the Foundry.
-Right now I'm just building the lists, voting comes later.
-These are general polls to see what direction the Cryptic devs should go in if and when they get time to add assets or maps. Items on the poll (even the winning ones) are not guaranteed to be added.

I'd love to get all the missing Terran Empire NPC contacts, though I'd settle for being able to use the mirror skins in the costume tab.
Admiral Quinn and T'nae would be very useful.
"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

It sort of depends on how those mobs were built. We have the NPC Contacts for these, so we can reskin other mobs as them. Cryptic may have done the same thing (or whatever the equivalent is in their editor), rather than building them as separate NPC groups.
I.E.
Mob - Frigate (Phaser/Photon)
Mob - Cruiser 01 (Tetryon/Chroniton)
Mob - Cruiser 02 (Proton/Plasma)
Mob - Battleship 01 (Phased Polaron / Transphasic)
Though I suppose that is something that would technically have to be built. :P
The Turei (I think) use plasma weapons. Not a lot of factions in the game that do that.
That would be a great addition. Although I would kind of like to be able to have more control over their abilities, speed, etc. :P

That may not be possible. From what I've heard, giving them powers is only half the process, they need to write AI scripts to teach them how to use them. Zero may be limited to mob groups that have already been set up.
I have heard Rumors that those have always been shotdown to to explotability.
However I think the "Bug Controlled" Vaudwaar Mob, could work as he is Melle only (he holds a pistol but doesn't shoot) but is also extremely powerful and difficult to kill.
Melee-only volumes (where neither the player/team nor NPC mobs can use energy weapons or powers) might work better than melee mobs for avoiding exploitability.
Anyway, here are my requests:

Why?
So there is some way to get that kill accolade that doesn't involve running the same mission 1000 times on a fed toon.
We have those already.
Do the renegade Klingons we have give the accolade?
Pretty sure we got those with the Delta Rising updates.
There's one type of NPC or NPC group I would like to see: Starfleet officers in the 2409 uniforms (Sierra, Antares, etc.). For those of us who made missions that supposedly take place during that time and who don't want to use too many costume assets to cloth their NPCs to look the part.
"No matter where you go...there you are."
That reminds me of one other thing, if it hadn't been said specifically yet:
Single Boss NPCs.
"No matter where you go...there you are."
The Odyssey is the uniform of both time periods. Complete the tutorial on a new character and you'll be placed in an Odyssey uniform. The Sierra/Antares/etc have been retconned out of the story, and now exist solely through the players who use them.
I second the TOS mob request. That would be perfect for my mission.

Sierra and Antares are stll the Official Uniforms of the Mirror Universe..
There was a Bug that put them in Oddy Uniforms but Thomas the Cat said they should still be in the old Uniforms.
Actually they wear the Jupiter 3 uniforms with the TOS mirror sash.
Really? I know we got the arthropod NPC costumes to reskin other mobs, and we got one of the other New Romulus creatures as mobs, but I don't think we ever got actual arthropod mobs.
My Foundry missions | My STO Wiki page | My Twitter home page
I was going to post that, but I think he might mean the space ship hull material.
We can currently create a melee only mob by just reskinning beasts as people except they only attack by biting. The Foundry could use either a new mob that uses normal melee attacks or a way to select a normal melee attack animation.
In the same vein, a mob that attacks with a non-beam animation, i.e. shoots bullets.
TRIBBLE Hydra! Hail Janeway!
My character Tsin'xing
Targetless Mode (Aka you can't target/shoot it) Npcs. from "Blood of the anicents." During the New Romulus space scene there are multiple ships in the background firing at one another.
It made it "feel" like an epic space battle.
I'm not sure how something can be exploitable.
If it's a question of skill points/XP, can't they just make it worth 0? Most of us want things for STORY related reasons, not for the rewards it gives or doesn't give potential players.
On that subject, I'd really like a stationary "sit there and take it" mob, both the kind that attacks back (phaser turret, etc.) and the type that doesn't (door lock, shootable forcefield, the applications are endless).
