The Dahar Master's coat is something most of us have asked for again and again. With no acknowledgement we were heard or even exist.
The warrior sash, as worn by LT Worf, was part of a giveaway celebrating the 25th anniversary of TNG. We also got the Sixties girl group hairdo to go with it. Verah saxay indeed! Just what a real warrior needs to ensure his opponents choke to death on their laughter. They came as a set which was a limited time unlock. I cannot remember what a player did to get them but it wasn't very difficult at all. Both items were available to both (at the time) factions.
I suppose one of these days, when they feel good and ready to get around to it, the KDF will get the Dahar Master's jacket. I have come to believe this release will be the sign of the sixth seal being broken and the apocalypse being just around the corner. Of course the servers will be shut down the following week as Cryptic makes room for their newest smash hit MMO, Animal Crossing XII: Mages and Muskrats in Muskogee.
The sash? Cryptic releases previously available items from time to time. All you can do, OP, is keep a lookout for when this happens. It is how I acquired the Shard of Possibilities.
A six year old boy and his starship. Living the dream.
i too was disappointed in the specialized KDF unifrom options, Aliens get next to nothing special. No Bolted to the skull eyepatches, no special shoulder pads, nothing much.
So i try to overcome this by getting the winter coats, and buy Lobi Costumes when a new one comes out.
that said, could we PLEASE get the Korath Wrist attachments, and Boots to work on the Orion's "Bare Chest" tab yet again? i want to change my Orion Boff up a bit but i don't want her to loose the Korath Left wrist attach she has
and i'd love to use the Xindi-Primate Council Suit's Chest gear option on an Orion under the "Bare Chest" tab
Some outfit parts have color swatches linked to other seemingly unrelated clothing pieces. i would like to recommend introducing a toggle (checkmark) box for this feature. as it is not always welcome when it is discovered
It's a small thing, but it sticks out at me that female Klingons and Ferasans of any gender can't use the leather vest. That vest goes with everything!
The KDF is the one faction that you cannot match what you see the NPCs wear. The Feds and Roms for most parts can, minus some color palette issues. But you could replicate whatever look. For the KDF, most of the stuff you see NPCs wear, whether they are Klingon, Orion, Gorn, Nausicaan NPCs, you can't use.
All the coats, sashes Klingons use: You can't use.
Gorn? The tattered clothing and heavy chains? Can't use.
Nausicaan armor? You can use some but not all like the leg armor.
Not to mention, unlike the Feds, most of the TV and Movie uniforms you see Klingons use are not in the game.
I too would love to see a lot of the NPC stuff (inlcuding Worf's, Miral's and Alexanders hair styles) given to KDF players.
This thread has a nice list of assets that are available for NPC's and could be altered, re-rigged for players at little cost to Cryptic, hell I'd be happy with some KDF uniform bundles that give us the remaining canon uniforms from the various series, like Lursa and Btor's uniforms, Gowron's uniform etc and the NPC stuff already in-game.

One of my biggest complaints of the whole custom tailoring is this... color selections on one item being linked to the color selection of another item... I forget what it was I was trying to change the color of... I think it was ear rings of my female ferasan... linked to belt color or something... it was very annoying.
Now, I could see some of the items being linked, like the chest/belt/arm/wrist gear of the eng/sci/tactical equipment...
anyway...
yeah, I'd love to see more of the NPC costume parts available. All around.
Honestly I just want more klink clothing options. The stuff we start with is pretty bland, and we get very little added to that. With only one Z-store outfit set too....
Apart from yours, I have the most special Klingon toon in the game. I claimed my marauding/diplomacy BOFF, a Human fresh from Starfleet Academy, who promptly put on the Bortasqu' Warrior's uniform. I could show you a screenshot if I knew how. None of my other characters has a diplomacy BOFF who will wear the "other" uniform. This may be a bug or some other unintentional consequence and may yet be "fixed", but for now my Human looks like she is ready to become a real warrior. I can't honestly say that we never get anything.
I'd like the Klingon uniforms from Undiscovered Country, to include Chang's sash, Gorkon's chancellor robes/choker, etc.

This is a thread that's come and gone every so often for years now.
But, glad to see there's still some people interested in this sort of thing.
