A little "Borotherhood of the Sword" Hint (since it seems to still be unknown)

Have you been playing this STF and then wondered why all of a sudden the thing Fails in the middle even though you still had time on the counter? This is what you need to do.

On Level 3 in the upper left corner of the map there is an Orion NPC who is being attacked by Heralds. Everyone rush in and rescue him and then accept the mini-objective of escorting him to his safe house. If he gets killed, the STF is over then and there.

Just putting this tidbit out there since it seems that I only managed to achieve 2/10 attempts at this mission on Advanced yesterday (yes, I know. Pugs suck. etc.).

And on the subject of auto-fails in Iconian STFs, let me also mention that in "Gates of Gre'thor", those GREEN portals are the higher priority to get closed before they eat up your landing forces. The Yellow ones are just spawning nuisances but aren't as lethal as the Green ones are.

    The sad thing is:

As all sage advice before, this will also be never heard by the pug-mates YOU are dealing with.
And they will also ignore you in team/zone.

The Good thing is: We do not need to play advanced. Farm normal fast runs, do your elite mark every day and when you are actually at the level up points for the rep, you have all you need for the gear. ^^

    Which, unfortunately, is highly unefficient.

Though the Orion usually is only optional on advanced, shouldnt let the mission fail if you dont save him.

But the normal ones don't reward the data cores you need for the tron suits or the space sets though.

But you can get those on Kobali.
Well excuse me for having enormous flaws that I don't work on.

You can probably guess how this ended.

The Orion can be "rescued" at zero health, which immediately fails the mission. Direct Sci heals help, medigens likely as well.

Not sure if friendly fire is an issue (grenades and such).

Also, something to note, even if you save the Orion, if the rest of the team successfully activates the 3 devices BEFORE you escort him, you fail the STF as well.

Well considering you'll need a decent level of rep to actually buy anything, which will require numerous daily quests anyway, its actually far more efficient than you seem to think :)

You do know you can trade in 100 marks for a datacore once per day right, i mean, you're not one of those people who doesn't read patchnotes are you :P

If its not listed its either a bug or an oversight, go harass a dev for clarification to answer which it is, something not being listed is hardly a reason not to read the notes in the first place
