i love season 10, but we need more ways to earn iconian marks, currently I get a average of 20-40 marks and only if im in a good team, even the pve queue missions are fun, it simply takes to long, especially if you trying to aquire the rep items thru projects
any other rep has several ways to earn rep marks, why not the iconian rep?

    3 PvE
    Kobali ground last two stages

So kinda easy to get marks imho

There are plenty of sources, but I wouldn't call it easy. One of the PvE only ever seems to pay out in the teens even though it takes just as long to complete as the others even when you have a good team and the kobali missions usually give me less than 10.

The 2 missions of the act III in the Kobali Battlezone now gives you the choice between Delta marks (+ daily bonus) + 1 APC or Iconian resistance marks (+daily bonus) + 1 Iconian probe datacore. And you can replay them each day.

Thank you for that - I had no idea that was the case. :)

Well in my opinion you need something like the dyson sphere, it would be a lot easier/better than pve's i have found in PVE's unfortuanly there are a LOT of rage quitter's, and the 1hour waiting time don't really apply does or so they say i only quit when there all my team has left (happen's 3 times out of 4)

I agree they should been more ways to get the marks. Specially for the "solo" players. So I'm having to do the Kobali ground mission. I will get up to tier 1 and see if there is a story progression. If not, then I won't continue the Rep. Since I don't to bore myself with a boring Rep.

So far I got a rifle from one of the Rep boxes. That is one sweet looking rifle to use. So it wouldn't be much a waste. :D

When you exit the building where general q'nel stands, there is a console on the right. If you click on it, you have the choice to replay all the story missions associated with the Kobali Battlezone. They are sorted in 3 acts. For the iconian marks and probe datacores, you can replay 2 of the Act III missions (the third mission gives no reward when replayed, if memory serves), Breaking the Wall and With our last breath. You can replay the 2 missions every 20 hours, as it seems.

I'm starting to wonder though if we've reached a battlezone saturation point. We need something else to provide iconian marks but the best something may not be an area that makes the solonae zones or kobali prime redundant. Why not just add more iconian marks to existing battlezones (at least at points relevant to the iconians, ex. final stage of the dyson ground battlezone and those found assignments where you help a FED team recover solonae tech)?

That satisfies the mechanical need of the rep system, enhances the appeal of good, functional content, and leaves the door open on some new type of content (ex. several more types of random sector encounters) that 1. may not as easily satisfy our mark lust and 2. may have been impossible if another zone was slated for development now.

I just hit Tier 1 on my Iconian. Well I got some kinda of message from an "Old Friend" and can't work it. However must be due to I'm still at lv59 and hadn't done the newer missions. So I will wait until then. In the meantime, I will keep doing those ground ones and build up a lot of points. Since I need to lv up anyways.

Since this looks like a story progression. Cryptic found a way to get me to do that Rep.

How are people complaining about the lack of means of attaining good Iconian Marks? These are the good sources:

3 new queued instances for Iconian War:
    Brotherhood of the Sword
    Gates to Gre'thor
    Herald Sphere
    * All 3 come in Normal, Advanced, Elite. IMHO, the space ones are easier. If you got a group that communicates, Brotherhood of the Sword is a cakewalk but a bit nightmarish for PUGs ATM.

    Bug Hunt: Normal, Advanced, Elite.

    Battle of Korfez: Elite

Note that Bug Hunt and Battle of Korfez give the option to grant Delta or Iconian Marks, but the token will always be Ancient Power Cells and not Iconian Dataprobe Cores. But BHE is very easy that even PUGs have a very high success rate these days.

If you're chasing Iconian Dataprobe Cores, then the 3 Iconian War Advanced or Elite queues I listed are sources. The only other source is on Kobali BZ, doing the last few portions of the campaign there. The Iconian Marks reward is pitiful but you can get 2 Iconian Dataprobe Cores there daily.

Well cryptic need the players to be aware of this, as regards for bug hunt there aint hardly anybody playing it these day's, so how can you say this is a good source? as regarding the battle of korfez, same thing nobody play's it really so again not a good source, 3 iconian wars pve's (please note hardly anybody plays the elite/advanced if anybody)there are people on but as soon as somebody is blown up they run for the hill's and tell people they hope i get killed by isis, so not excatly a good source, 1 good thing is you can actually make dataprobe core's kudo's to cryptic for this.as regarding the battlezone people have told me what to do, but i can only get delta marks, dunno what i am doing wrong, i am expected to get banned fromt he forum by the mod's soon for speaking my mind as friend's i have on STO

Thanks for the break down. I read the notes, but playing it gives a better idea. So far I only done the Kobali BZ. And I have got a few Cores already for any purchases.

Sad part is, this is the only way I will get marks to do the Rep. Since I solo play. I don't want to be pinned down doing a que and then have to leave at a moment notice. I think they should give more options to get them for solo players.

They did put it out for people. It was in the release notes announced on Patch Notes of the 21st.

I'm not sure how you think nobody is playing Bug Hunt. Of the Advanced and Elite Queues, it's one of the more regular running ones. Not as much as Omega STFs but I can regulary run BH on my characters. Running Bug Hunt Elite is the best means right now on attaining easy, big Iconian Marks. It's actually my preferred means on attaining Delta and now Iconian Marks, as well as the Elite R&D Pack and 1.4k dil per completion.

For Battle of Korfez, only Premade teams go there for most parts. If you don't regularly team that way then don't bother.

But between the two Bug Hunt is going all the time and very rewarding in the marks.

Not all parts of the Kobali BZ give the option for Iconian Marks. Only the very last parts of it where you assault uphill into the Vaadwaur base at the top and towards the Astika Cruiser perched atop.

    No.

Crystalline Entity gives you a choice of Nukara or Fleet Marks.

Borg Disconnected gives the option of Omega or Delta Marks.

Bug Hunt & Battle of Korfez, Delta or Iconian Marks.

For most, if there's a secondary choice, it's usually Fleet Marks.

You have to drag the Encoded Data Module (or whatever it's called) into your skill table and click it. You get a message from Sela, but there's no new mission.

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

aye, as i despise the new stf's i've been doing 'breaking the wall' on kobali. yes, you have to be 53 minimum level but you can solo it and the daily bonus will keep your reputation projects going, although it's more fun teamed-up.
