KDF general would probably be the most interesting choice (assuming Roxann's willing/able.) Among other things it would split up the "important" cast members to other factions.

I cannot really imagine Tom is a Federation Captain and B'Elanna is a KDF officer. That would be one miserable battlefield when the War was going on.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Exactly. :P

How should they add Blanna Paris character to STO Season 10 or byound.
Should she command KDF Starship or command a Starfleet starship ???
I'd rather she not just be yet another ST cast character commanding her own ship. It feels weird with Tom (who never really struck me as a guy looking to get his own Command), and it doesn't fit right for B'Elanna either. And it strikes me as a bit lazy too.
Maybe she could be a Senior Engineer at some Starfleet Corps of Engineers facility, coming up with new tech to help fight the Iconians or something. And who says that she has to be a commisioned officer of either Starfleet/the KDF? She could have left Starfleet (like in "Endgame") and just be doing her own thing.
They could take the books as an example, there B'elana has a high engeneering positions i think, and Tom was a First Officer, so the jump to captain was not that odd. Also considering that in those books Miral was still 6 or so, it makes sense for Tom to have his own command, but not for B'elana to be honest.
(PS: i have no clue how far the story line of the books have advanced since i last read one. )
The thing is...Roxanne would do it in a heartbeat. I mean, none of the actors exactly have much going on in their careers anymore.
Roxann is a TV director now. She keeps fairly busy doing 4-6 TV shows a year.

Alot of Trek actors tend to go into directing and behind the scenes stuff. I know.... dang, forget his name, but Tom Paris has done alot of directing on numerous tv shows. That's why you don't tend to see them. I know Dawson has gone into Directing as well.
Frankly, if she does appear, I don't want her in command of her own ship. It doesn't fit the character. Same with Paris. But retired and an engineering advisor, something like that coming at us with some new Iconian killer superweapon she developed. That I could get behind.

Why would Belaana be a KDF General? That makes no sense. She was always the least Klingon of all Klingon's. Not to mention Klingon's weren't very tolerant of half breeds. You couldn't exactly make her an Admiral in the Federation either. Keep in mind that she was in the maquis. You can't make her out rank poor Harry Kim..

I think it is just the KDF players wanting something new to call their own. Worf is, apparently, not enough.

The 2 directions i could see B'Elanna go , one would be ambassador to the klingons like we see her in Endgame ,another would be working for starfleet engineering corps ,or even teaching engineering at the academy .these 2 options would fit in much better with the STO story line .

I don't remember much. but I think that's true. wasnt chief O'brian a non commissioned officer. not a Starfleet but like a call in tech.

One of the biggest misconceptions about Trek is that everyone on a ship went to the Academy - that everyone is an officer. That is not true at all. But until Miles showed up that was never really shown in any meaningful way.

At least Worf's choice are logical and in character. He'd do nearly anything to return honor to his people.
B'Elanna's journeys may have lead her to make peace with her Klingon half, but she never, not once, indicated an intention of returning to a Klingon way of life. Just the opposite. B'Elanna was also a hot-head (and just plain hot) latina as well as half-Human/half-Klingon.
If she doesn't have any kind of Star Fleet career, I can easily imagine her going to Bajor first to weep with any last remaining Maquis members or family members of war dead and then staying to help with any post war efforts. Bajor always seems to need help with War Orphans, I can even see her and Ro Laren working side by side on something like that.

I think she already out ranked Kim in voyager. But then, who didn't ?
Otherwise I agree, she never had much love for her Klingon origin. Beside for her mother, but then, it was her mother.
She went as far as to try to remove the ridge and stuff from her daughter to be. Not remove the human part, and increasing the Klingons one, but the opposite.
She isn't Admiral material. Or even captain. Could be fun to have her an engineering teacher, considering how she hated the academy. Trying to change it from the inside and all that.
I don't remember what she was doing in the future-alternate universe, where future Janeway came from. This alternate universe was fairly accurate with what happened in the Prime Universe.
I think it is just the KDF players wanting something new to call their own. Worf is, apparently, not enough.
Kurn would be more than acceptable as an alternate. I believe Tony Todd had his own thread a while back.
For myself, I'd like to see her doing something outside starfleet. Not likely one of the science institutes (soong, daystrum) , but something more independent than starfleet.
I could easily see her as an Engineer and designer. I mean, yeah Paris has great ideas, but an Engineer he is not. That new ship of his had to be made by someone right?
There is also the matter of the APU she built (and destroyed) that could come up as part of how they are going to supply the raw numbers they need to fight the Iconians. Perhaps an FE with her where you have to defend a convoy that's carrying new APU's or something?
They were an interesting faction and only got one mission in Delta Rising.
Title of the mission could be 'Prime Directive Be Damned'
"Why all the sales"?
And a merry freaking Christmas to you too, Ebenezer.

How about DS9 or TNG people instead? We already have 6 Voyager people, lets do something else. Maybe Reg Barclay developing holographic infantry to fight the Iconians, or a Mirror 'Verse mini-arc with Intendant Kira?

That could tie in nicely with our photonic boffs from the delta event. I'm all for this idea.
Roxanne is more into her directorial role then she is in her acting any more. the chances are she could fit in some limited voice work, but her schedule is likely full up with her busy behind the scenes duties.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
I think she should be commanding the flagship of the SEC and in charge of the SEC task Force sent in to analizye all capture Icoian tech and figure out a way to disable the Icoian Portal system in the Delta Quadrant.
Then again, Belanna could be the Lasion Officer between the Federation and the KDF and possibly second in command a KDF Task Force. Assigned to work with Tom and Miral as a part of a Joint (KDF/Federation/Romulan Strike Force.
With General Worf in command of the KDF Task Force.

I'm too lazy to look up Worf lore and i dont feel like digging up my Voyager DVDs. But IIRC Worf was born Klingon, parents massacred at Khitomer, was found by humans and raised by them. B'Elanna was born on a federation colony to a human father and klingon mother, and raised pretty much as a federation offspring.
In the shows just like Zed said she had grown to accept her Klingon half. She could actually go either way since she is 50/50 human/klingon. But she was born and raised by Feds, so i dont see why she would give all that up to go live on Qonos or something. ESPECIALLY when she has Tom Paris and daughter Miral who is a federation officer. Yah...just doesnt make sense.
In the Voyager finale in the alternate future she was an ambassador or liaison to the klingons. So if Roxann Dawson were able to record a few lines and make it into STO, it would make more sense for STO-B'Elanna to be an ambassador instead of a KDF general and have some role in the Iconian War.

To a Klingon, the war that is called "marriage" is something to be cherished

Hrm... guess I can't just F through the mission next time I play it...
Preferable complaining how kdf stuff isn't as precise as starfleet with one of the Klingons countering it doesn't break every time you hit a bump.
if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.
