Great work on space revamp. It is what I waited for for the last two years. However, what happened with the current map assignments - ones your duty officers could do for different kind of rewards? Prior the walls fell, missions would change from sector space to sector space. Now they basically do remain same within the entire quadrant which does significantly lowers amount of rewards and possibilities.
Or perhaps I was not playing the game enough (I tried it for half an hour), so I may be wrong. Would like some help on the matter...
They actually do change, per sector instead of per sector block(map pre S10), but I think something is wrong with the distribution of assignments shown per sector..
I tried to do some marauding assignments yesterday for contraband and basically all i found was a bunch of "Purchase prototype" assingments.. normally i'd find a couple of "Pilage trading posts", "Disable freighter", ""Cripple science station" and "unauthorized raid" assignments by flying through pi canis, Tau dewa, psi volarum and regulus...
Now, with S10, i got dozens upon dozens of prototype assignments, but barely any contraband assignments. I flew through dozens of sectors, but barely found any.. maybe it's just some getting used to where they will show; but i certainly got the feeling that, when flying through the same general areas as before S10, the prototype assignments were seriously overrepresented..
Same with the gamma quadrant commodities.. i didn't manage to find a single one of these assignments, flying through many sectors that used to be in blocks that before S10 would show these assignments.
as a regular doff'er with many toon, first thing i'll be doing is setting up all my feds in a vesta with borg engines and all my kdf's with borg engines and driver coil buffs for faster sector travelling.. pre S10 it was doable without borg engines on all my chars... now though..
Yeah, I'm going to try again later today after the maintenance, because I went everywhere and got the same exact set of missions everywhere I went.
I'm thinking stuff like this will smooth out eventually, Red Alerts are odd as well. It asks you if you want to warp to the fight, but doesn't tell you where it's taking you. So you finish the fight and bam.. you're on the other side of the galaxy since it doesn't return you to where you were.
That and the DoFF missions could use a little fine tuning.

I've seen all the usual varieties (that one can expect from just a few hours playtime). Take a look at your department heads too, sector assignments seem a little light but they incidentally got a huge buff. :P

just spent the past 4 or 5 hours trying to figure out what they did to the doff missions, and here is what I have concluded:
1. the missions do change a little, but before they were changing with every sector block warping, but now it seems like they change when you cross into a section of space under another factions control, but not all the time. for example when crossing from the federation space into Klingon space, there are a few changes, but no where near what it was before the walls came down.
2. it seems if you go to your bridge the list of doff missions will change much closer to the way they did before, but when you leave the bridge, the original missions that were there before visiting your bridge have changed. for example, I crossed into Romulan space and the mission to turn in contraband for latnium popped up so I went to my account bank in my ready room to get the contraband and when leaving my bridge, the exchange mission I was going to run had disappeared, along with the others I was going to do.
3. there seems to be a "default" selection of sparse missions that pop up if you are not in one of the rare areas that have it's own list. I have seen this same list of 3 missions from the upper left of the beta quadrant to the lower right with only a few localized listings in a few sectors sectors.
4. I will investigate other avenues tomorrow as my frustration level has reached it's peak. perhaps like someone just posted, the department heads will have a better listing of assignments depinging on what sector you are in or I had the thought that you might have to visit the bridge and speak to the duty officers through out your ship...
In order to get the marauding assignments, I had to talk to talk to the first officer, at which point I got a marauder tab to the right and I could find some disable or raid assignments. There were still fewer than usual, but I hope it's going to be sorted out soon.

can you please explain what you mean??? I went to my department heads, then talked to my first officer and I didn't see any tabs on the right...
