JoeJing and all of the Cryptic Studios Team:

Super-fantastic job on the new Iconian Resistance Armor. I LUV IT!!

NO SARCASM. 100% honest. I really do like this new armor. I am going to put it on my "chartoon" (did I just coin a word?? a combo of "player character" and "cartoon". I am claiming authorship if so and or any copyrights!! I created AFAIK in IRC chat many many years ago, but no one ever gave me credit. they only said "what's afaik mean??" and of course I said 'why type out "as far as I know" when we are using so many shortcuts for phrases anyways? yes I am being serious here. I never saw 'afaik' before I typed it in irc chat something like ten or fifteen years ago.)

OH! sorry. Love the Armor! Gonna get It!! :D

    I Feel Happy!

It would be almost perfect if the glow line color could be changed, and if they gave it an optional chest piece and an optional full helm sort of like the Adapted MACO helm but with a visible face. The visor band can still be present as a sort of helmet HUD look.

Aside from that, the Delta Armor STILL needs a Helmet.

How works this Latex/Tron armor? IMO absolutelly worst in STO. Even big numbers can not save this abomination.

But probably Justin.like kids love it.

The accentuated TRIBBLE just screams fantasy though. I'll still get it for the stats. Or maybe I'll just plop this on my Orion.

At first I wasn't so hyped about the design for the outfit, but the last of the three pictures has really sold me on the design!

    Like all other reputation armors
Grind until all items in the ground set are unlocked (usually tier 5 for the best version)
Run the projects to obtain ALL the ground items in the rep set (not just the armor)
Run the project that unlocks the armor tailor option

Developers: "We won't be ready with Update 10 for two weeks."

Management: "Put update out in two days and fix as we go."

Server not responding. Rubber-banding. You have been disconnected from the server.

-If it keeps going like this I'll earn the accolade "Former STO Player".

They still look like latex/rubber BDSM suits... or maybe that's the point?
A mind overrun with far too many alter egos. Caitians M'Grek and R'Rak, Ferasan M'Tas, Tellarites Gav and Gral, Bajoran Kira Mabrin, Liberated Borgs 7 of 11 and Six and Two and Ten, Reman Rakrikas... and far too many ships to even count.

I still don't want my character to wear these Tronny-Roller Disco suits. They not only look embarrassing, but not very canon at all, nor even logical (how many garish suits with pulsing lights do you ever see in actual ground combat in the real world? Butt-ugly and drab wins no fashion shows, but it helps keep you alive).

Still not working for me as a whole, I'm afraid. :( You guys did a lot better with Counter-Command.

    However...

If I could use the visor/headset alone, without the rest of the armor, or even combine it with Counter-Command on my Cardassian toon, I wouldn't mind that part as an accessory piece. Will we ever be able to mix and match rep costumes that way?

I have to wonder if Cryptic lost any artists during the layoffs. Does anyone know? I liked the Counter Command Suit. I liked the Delta Alliance Suit. Then this comes along and it's like, "Well, they obviously lost someone."

I can definitely see where the idea came from now. The Iconians wear the same shiny rubber suit every time you see them. However, they're much skinnier so the rubber suit doesn't show up as much.

The suit that we get is just the rubber suit with a few metallic doo-hickeys. I would have been more on board if they weren't so invested in the chest area, particularly the female suit. They're practically two round targets at this point!

If they can add in an optional chest piece to go on top of that rubber suit, I can still give it a thumbs up. Much like the MACO armor, just something to wear on top of the base suit. You can make it an unlock from completing an advanced+ PvE or through the reputation for a little extra dilithium. I'll gladly pay.

Wat it needs is texture, similar to te old sto federation uniform, so its reflective, but texturized, that would be cool!

Doesn't look half-bad once the glowy-lines are gone. I think I like the "basic" option better than the rave suit version.

I love the spray on latex fantasy porno. So much for playing the game a with the kids until they grow some, and so much for their accounts and that revenue stream.......definitely at least a 16+ to 30 living in the basement Fanthingy game now as opposed to a more mainstream appeal.....

So much for any kind of logical physics when it come to protection as well, even nanoid/otic? and energy tech requires some solid anchoring and zone to absorb momentum and all that........I thought this was sci-fi instead of ultra fantasy space.

    Suspension of belief FAIL.

Does anyone know if the pulse colour can be changed? A green or blue glow would look much better in my opinion.

am i the only one who still favors the good old MACO/HG skins? some got close, but still, they look like the most badass. this looks kinda silly. i appreciate the effor though!

will the romu imperial navy set get a skin any time in the future?

You've clearly never witnessed the power of the Thong of Shielding.

Give this a read. It's funny, albeit somewhat sad if you really think about it.

In context, it's inferred to be gained by earning, then spending, Iconian Marks.

    Suspension of belief FAIL.

So many of these comments are ridiculously negative about the suit and then this was the pinnacle...using the standard "account and revenue" internet threats combined with some morality play for kids.

So a tight bodysuit is now "latex fatasy porno"? Give me a break.

Like kids haven't seen people in bikinis, spandex, or short shorts before. Heck...they could see far, far worse on a completely open search engine than in this game (or snapchat, or twitter, or imgur, or kik). Better not let kids watch the Olympics or they might see the gymnastics (or figure skating or cycling or swimming) fantasy porno. So much for that revenue stream Olympics!

And logical physics? The majority of "energy tech" in this game doesn't actually exists so claiming this is a "suspension of disbelief FAIL" is the actual FAIL. Like you'll believe 99% of the tech babble, but suddenly this one suit throws off all the fake science in the game enough that you lose all belief? Le sigh...

This is just my take on this but I've been playing since a year before it went f2p and based on away team combat which has always made no sense in calling it ground combat when sometimes you are not on the ground of a planet lol. So anyways for the most part if you have any gear the hit close to the diminishing returns of this area of the game the enemy npcs never get harder or more challenging they just are given more and more health. I know why this is though because the game draws in more players who I would say are not elite but say not seasoned in hardcore gameplay which in this game after playing this for so many years and getting into some other games I saw how degraded my playing skills had become because this game draws in the grindfesters, afkers, and just press the 1 key gamers that are used to the gear grind as long as I can do it with no effort. Rather where I am more of lets get that gear make a ton of alts and use strategy to beat my enemies and not just spamming the 1 key.

So in truth these rep gear things are a waste of time to design and no one really needs them you can do these missions with junk gear. Heck I even used to take a gorn in standard issue gear you got when you first make a character and tank manus in infected away team :D Just too many gimmicks and punch the monkey going on to take any new season or expansion seriously.

The only thing I dislike about this armor is the boots. The suit itself looks sleek and badass, but the boots are chunky and ugly. Guess I won't be wearing it around after all.

Form-fitting shiny bodysuits have been a staple of pulp science fiction since Roddenberry's childhood.
