Why didn't Hakeev and the Elachi target Memory Alpha?

Memory Alpha is the Federation's central library, holding the total cultural history and scientific knowledge of all planetary Federation members - and possibly much more since the 23rd Century. Why didn't Hakeev and the Elachi attempt to seize it and download the library? The Elachi base in subspace was in the Alpha Centauri block along with Memory Alpha, and it would have provided more ready information than any number of gladiatorial combats in the Nopada System. It also would have allowed the old map of Memory Alpha to be useful after they rejiggered the crafting system.

As you said, MA was closed off with the new crafting system. No way the Elachi get in there now :D

^ Memory Alpha.org is not canon. It's a open wiki with arbitrary rules. Only what can be cited from an episode is. ^

One does not simply walk into Memory Alpha. Not unless you want to make the whole quadrant aware of your "secret" plans :P

the chances are that mem alpha would be so well protected from enemy attacks, it would be a waste of effort and resources trying, just for some old non classified information on details collected by the federation in its entire existence.
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.
