I stopped playing for a few months and they went and changed boff training.


As I understand the new system within a class:

Any boff can be trained to have the same abilities as any other boff

When selecting boffs I should look for traits and the abilities don't really matter


This is comparing boffs you get from doffing not any special or unique ones.

Correct. You feed the other ones into the wood chipper to harvest their organs, then blend them into delicious training manuals. For the award and mission doffs you send to "deck 13" pay attention to the blue skills not just the purple. The doff might have a skill in their skill like Beam Overload III that can be scooped out.
