It's nice to have some of the more likeable characters from Voyager show up. So what about TNG or DS9?

I hope Tom will get a bit a more "from the heart designed" facial structure and lipshape etc. The hairstyle is great though, but please try to improve the overall looks of his face a bit, he deserves more. You did such a great Doctor, Tuvok, Harry and Neelix! :)

    My reaction on reading this;
    1. "Oh yes! "

    My reaction on seeing the screenshots of the model;
    2. "Oh no :O"

But no really, with Worf, the Doctor and Tuvok you peeps got the likenesses as close to bang on the money as you could. With this, Seven and the recent Sela redux.... oyyy :(

Still, I'll be glad to see what they have in store for ol' Tom!

Anyone else notice, that Robert McNeill doesn't seem to have any noticeable gray hair in real life, but Tom Paris in STO, his hair is nearly white? lol

well, in real life it hasn't been over 30 years since Voyager...

I dunno. The CGI model of Younger Tom looks more like Barclay to me.

And, can I dare hope to dream that after five years of faithful patience, we may finally be getting a chance to do something involving Captain Proton?

Delta Recruiting kind of broke that, maybe. We appear to our younger selves as a Fleet Admiral (or Dahar Master), which suggests that's our destiny. More importantly, it suggests Cryptic has no plans to bust our characters back to Captain, ever.

My comment was intended as a joke. It would be kind of a cool twist. But I remain doubtful.
Hey, the future is always in motion. Our future self could still manage to get busted down to Captain, especially if they're going to keep doing things like flouting the Temporal Prime Directive.
I'm a but disappointed cryptic chose to put Tom Paris in Starfleet. Doesn't really make sense from a character standpoint. In End game he wasn't in Starfleet which was much more true to character. (Yes I know that was technically an alternate reality). I would have like to see him in some other capacity... At the very least maybe an instructor at the academy if he needed to stay in Starfleet.
Per the Destiny timeline, he's a Lieutenant Commander and First Officer of Voyager in 2381. Granted, STO's timeline diverges before Destiny happens, but some of the same events happened in both timelines.

I'm headcanonizing it that he served in such a capacity for a bit sometime in the past 35 or so years, and after the family was stable and the kid raised, he kicked off the desk job. It may be that he worked with the rank of Lt. or LtCom for awhile, attaining captain rank after reinvigorating/restarting his shipboard career.

Yay but... that looks nothing like him. More like Robert Patrick

This is great, glad he came to do this. I liked the character on Voyager. And it will be fun to see him in action again. :D

I'm glad Robert McNeill agreed to bring Tom Paris into STO. I guess the other cast members were pleased to work for Cryptic/STO. I hope they encourage the more reluctant members of the Voyager cast to do the game. Hopefully, they surprise us with an announcement that Roxann Dawson is also coming to STO as B'Elanna Torres.

I agree the likeness is off. The character's face seems too thin especially the lower jaw. It does look a bit more like 1st season Paris, but still off.

Who is the artist that rendered this image of Robert Duncan McNeill? This looks nothing like Robert Duncan McNeill.

Huh, maybe Tom will make the Iconians break the warp ten barrier so they all turn into lizards. Obviously that is how we will win this war.

Neat to see another Star Trek actor reprising their role though.

If you play through, you see that the other half of that time loop gets closed in Cold Storage. Meaning we could get busted down after that.

Would his BOff (or Doff for that matter) give one's shuttles (especially the Delta Flyer) a speed or other buff of some sort?
Shenanigan missions with Harry Kim would be comic relief as well.
Seriously, he is one of my favourites of Voyager's crew. Welcome Robert Duncan McNeill!

    Way, way too cool.

Now all we need is Roxann Dawson :)

Will be interesting to see what ship Captain Tom paris has. I think he would want something very fast and maneurverable and that might remind him somewhat of Captain proton which is why what I picture him commanding would be a T6 version of the Aquarius Light Escort with a Commander hybrid Tactical/Pilot station. Whatever he's commanding it's bound to be some kind of an escort.

Just imagine the Iconians sending a T-1000 back in time to stop us from learning about the future. It would make perfect sense and fit in with the whole we go back in time to warn ourselves thing. :D

    Oooh nice.

I'm not surprised, but I'm pleased to hear it.:) It'd be nice to get B'elanna and Janeway's actresses on board too of course.

his game face looks very gaunt and thin. like he had a lipo on his face and then a botox.

or maybe he aged 50 years since voyager and then got a botox done.

i wonder if belana is going to be next to join

@above - george dubya bush - lol its so true. he does look like

Wow. Seems almost all the cast save for Janeway and Chakotay are in now.

And I just can't see Tom as a Admiral, but heck. I'm liking this so far.

neither could they, so they made him a captain :P

Well sense they bothered to make a model of his old voyager uniform I am assuming we are getting another time travel story. Anyways part of me (A small part) is half expecting to see Roxanne Dawson revealed in the next few days just so they can have the whole Paris family for the sake of having it.

i think what they do is make the guy as he looked in the show, and then age him. they did the same with Kim and Tuvok for some time travell(ish) stuff but they did it with Worf too, and didn't use it for squat.

Tom Paris always reminded me of Kirk in some ways. That same tendency to push until it blows up in your face. The ability to find a solution when others were still wondering what question to ask. The reckless disregard which allowed him to wade in when others were still weighing the options. The ability to become the perfect Starfleet officer at a second's notice but only when it suited the task at hand. That irritating grin when he knew he was right.

Good deal, having Paris in the fight against the Iconians. Here's hoping he gets a seriously BAMF version of one of the Pilot Cruisers. Here's also hoping we get a Captain Proton Featured Episode.
