I smell a sacrifice, just like in the prophecy of the Klingons (which is loosely based on Christianity), a Klingon savior will save the entire race against incredible odds in a battle of glory.
My guess is that "sacrifice" they talked about in the previous blog is going to be her, I mean what would you expect she is like the Klingon's equivalent to Christ and we all know what happened to him did we not? If you thought that was Kahless I think he is more along the lines of Moses at least the old version of Moses in the Ten Commandments.
So far the only big NPC to fall in the game is the Romulan's Commander Temer in the episode Alliances, an NPC or at least a major one has never bit the dust before and it would be a shocker if it happened this time, so.....Miral being the Klingon Savior might put that trend to rest. Just saying and it would be a great blow to the Klingons seeing their messiah killed off by the Iconians considering it was the Klingons who were hot on the trial long before the rest of the Alpha Quadrant powers finally took notice. Talk about your ultimate vengeance.
Just a theory but its so obvious I just might be right.
Well if the Kuvah'Magh prophecy is based loosely on Christianity, and Miral dies like a Klingon Messiah, she would also be elevated to a higher plane of existence (in Christianity, Christ rose from the dead and returned to heaven).
EDIT: IMHO, that would explain the worship-like reverence that some Klingons hold her in and the contempt that others hold her in.
Your father was captain of a starship for twelve minutes. He saved 800 lives, including your mother's, and yours.
This is wonderful news! Well done to the STO staff for getting the original actress back to voice Miral and allowing the character to develop further in game! I look forward to this!
I knew it! I had a sneaky suspicion that Miral Paris was going to get a larger role in the game.
On my first Delta Recruit I noticed that Naomi Wildman was in command of Starbase K-7 and I had to report to her in the office for a mission. It use to be Miral. No idea when that change happened but it gave me a suspicion as to why. Edit: According to the wiki page for Miral Paris the change happened with season 9.5. I could also be wrong and she was never on K-7.
So is it safe to assume that Lisa LoCicero will be doing dialog for the Klingon War arc missions with Miral?
Also will Miral's fabulous hair become an option for players?
That was my first thought too. The answer is probably not.
When Worf got a makeover and a new hairstyle I begged Cryptic to make his new hairdo available for Klingons because they have so few options and so far that never happened.
I will ask this: Cryptic, can you make Miral's old/current hairstyle available for the players since she's getting a new hairdo? And make it available for Klingons also. Here is what her current hair looks like http://sto.gamepedia.com/Miral_Paris (I think I've seen other NPCs throughout the game with this hairstyle, the uniform tailor on Starbase K-7 for example, so it seems like it's somewhat generic)
Star Trek Online is pleased to announce that Lisa LoCicero will be joining the cast of Star Trek Online to reprise her role as Miral Paris.
Lieutenant Commander Miral Paris will be joining Captains as you face off against the Iconians and their heralds beginning in Season 10!

Great idea! I'm always happy to hear the voices of folks that were in the shows or movies.
If you guys ever decide to give Naomi Wildman a voice you have two options. Scarlett Pomers, of course since she is all grown up now. And since Vanessa Branch played Future Naomi, she a good choice, too.

To expand on my earlier post, I just thought of something which could explain her sudden rise in the upcoming Season 10, the Klingons have already suffered greatly at the hands of the Iconians loosing the bulk of their leadership in "Surface Tension", so naturally a society during a great loss goes back to its roots like America did in the early aftermath of 9/11, its a society's way of healing oneself so, the Klingons being a spiritual people go back their roots and thus Miral is thrown back in the limelight of the Klingon people as a symbol of hope and also considering the High Council kept many of the Great Houses together and the last thing Jm'Pok wants is an internal power struggle with Sela being AWOL who could either be dead or alive considering she escaped once, so he calls her up and asks her to be a more prominent figure to the dismay of her father and mother, but seeing its either they kill themselves or kill the advancing enemy, she has little choice.
Then during this time, I suspect Miral will not make it in the opening invasion which will make the Klingons even more mad and angry then, the Federation and Romulans do the classic "we are right behind you" routine and its "game on".

K'mtar ? AKA "Alaexander" Worfs SON! He was a WAY bigger member of Star Trek. Apeared in MANY episode. WAY more than Miral. I would say he was a pretty big NPC, and he died! Which I am going on the record as saying "No sir I dint like it"

Or nobody wants to serve under her because she's a magnet for crazy Klingons? I somehow imagine her career track to be punctuated by requests from her COs to have her transferred off because they've fended off 4 kidnap attempts that week and crew casualties are running noticeably higher than usual.
The latest of course being the Kirk, where she actually was kidnapped, everyone breathed a sigh of relief and then Quinn's favourite lieutenant had to go and rescue her...alright, where'd we leave those transfer forms?
Your commentaries like this one are why I watch you on YouTube all the time, next to Brent Justice (aka The Doctor). :P
to guy who theory that said Mical Paris might die in the episode. im not disagreeing you i could see happening. but i point out the post beginning in season 10. i take that she going in more espiodes i think i could see her as a bridge officer and before someone goes she starfleet. one word lliason

By "will be joining Captains" does this mean she's the new Tovan Khev?

To the best of my knowledge (coming onboard about when the game went F2P), Naomi Wildman was always in command of K-7 in-game. There was an incident once, one that I missed (might have been before F2P), when K-7 became invisible due to an unforeseen complication of a patch; this is commemorated by the Klingon being interrogated in Naomi's office, with Starfleet officers demanding to know how and why he cloaked the entire base. (I think he's still there, anyway.)

Was the station invisible on the outside or the inside or both?
Every once in a while when I'm in ESD, the floor will suddenly "turns to glass" and I can see all the ships in the docking bay that are normally blocked from view. If it last more than a few second I can spot a ship class that my Captain is currently commanding, so I will say out loud, but to myself, "Look. I can see my ship from here."
You know, Devs, a clear Aluminum floor in ESD, would not be out of the question, technologically speaking, that is.
I'd just like to say that I'm very appreciative of the KDF-oriented news that's been coming out in relation to the upcoming Iconian Star Trek Wars.
And also, very pleased that the Lt Cmdr will be joining us! I'm also excited to see so many people taking interest in the Klingon-aspects of STO both here as well as in the KDF Gameplay section of the forums!
"they were more trouble then they were worth", that implies these "gods" were alive when they were slain.
if miral is already dead as the kuvah'magh and then elevated to that position, it would be a completely different scenario. besides warriors who are slain in battle in the 24th and 25th are remembered in "song and story".
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

You are forgetting Alexander, Worf's son. That was a pretty major character death... a canon character even.
Then there is that Klingon guy in the Doomsday mission, though he was a one-off original character and pretty much only there to sacrifice himself at the end.
Hmm... it's always the Klingons sacrificing themselves... 1 is a fluke. 2 a coincidence, 3 would be a pattern.
Do you know how hard it is to have a hair that doesn't go across the ridge as an alien ? You can't ! Unless you consider balds as hair.
Thanks you.
its been 5 years, cryptic have created new hairstyles in their own time between the projects they are on, klingons dont have dreadlock hair but they do have curly frizzy hair, they dont have an excuse to not to bring that one through the system, if they can do it for one off characters, they can do so in general.

Secondly as awesome as it is to get this lil read up on the actress reprising her role, how come we haven't had any official thread announcements for STO's other new comers to VO characters?
Are they not worthy or something? I mean, Spartacus seems worthy of a mention, so does Rayne/Kira Carsen (side note yes shes done way more VO then those 2, but those 2 are my fav)
I've been hoping to see more of Miral Paris in STO, so this is a very welcome surprise. The past few weeks are full of these, and I love it! Let's hope the content will be just as thought-through and interesting.
Some T5 ships remade into T6 (maybe with more on the horizon ), awesome delta-recruit bonuses, two interesting missions on the way, new PvE queues, and the Heralds with mysterious stories surrounding them: Can't wait for Season 10!

It's possible to do, but having too much of the floor being transparent would be disorienting for visitors. Perhaps something like the Starbase decoration would work better, where there would be one or two places where you could look through the floor to see what is below?
I'd love to see that hairstyle become available for Klingons, but Cryptic hasn't made the Taris/Sela haircut or the Worf haircut available, so I'm not crossing my fingers...(just my toes)
