Power DOFFing for Fun And Leveling

killalljedikillalljedi Member Posts: 88 Arc User
Just a few personal opinions and observations on how to power-level through DOFF assignments, especially with the 2X XP bonus and the DOFF grinding for week II of Delta Event:

-- On average, about 5 million EC is needed to buy around 20 or so Gamma Officer Packs to get a good roster started on a newly-rolled character.

-- NEVER choose missions that are more than 8 hours long. They occupy an Assignment slot for too long and aren't worth the trouble. Prioritize the ones that run for 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 2 hours, and so on. In DOFF leveling, quantity IS quality.

-- Save the 8 hour missions for just before you go to bed for the night, and they should be ready after you get up in the morning.

-- Check on DOFF missions ever 4-6 hours and reload new ones after clearing out the finished ones.

Feel free to add in whatever advice you have in this thread. Good Luck.

Mail unneeded purple and blue doffs from old characters to the newbie. Good for more crits on the assignments.

There's a number of 8 and 12 hour missions that give inordinately high exp.

    Support gorn uprising
    Suppress gorn uprising
    Infiltrate orion syndicate
Provide medical aid in combat environment
    Holodeck performance of hamlet
Plus a selection of the recruiting, trade and development missions in the sphere and delta q.

These are great to queue up before logging out.

The caitian/ferasan flight deck officer chain finale is another one that gives amazing exp, but its once only.

And don't forget to put a consultant on active duty. There are versions that boost exp.

No no they are completely ordinate!

The best missions are the 12 hour special kdf missions, the 12 hour solanae sphere mission and the 12 hour Delta Quadrant missions.

As others have said ... NOPE ... while doffing with several Toons (KDF in Eta Eridani & FEDs in Sphere or DQ), I'm only looking for the Number 12 ... everything else is just not worth the time, clicking on ... )

Quality > Quantity ... if you can do both ... fine ... but I'd rather do critical Doff Missions for ~30k than wasting my time with ~1k (if you're lucky) nonsense ...

I think the OP's suggestion is to load up on the 1 and 2 hour missions when you first log on then hit the big juicy ones with your purple DOFFS before you log out.

If it is not, then it is my suggestion. But if you have already hit level 60 and maxed out your commendations then I see no reason to bother with the little 1 hour missions. Load up the big ones and fire and forget.

For „short on time“ doffers (with lots of alts or short on gaming time or simply interest) I just want to advertise the doff position in orbit of fleet mine as cool station for semi inactive toons.

    Around there you get:

    - Access to a good variety of different assignments in Beta block.
    - Unlock of 4 different assignment chains to freely upgrade you Doffs to better quality
    - Direct contact to fleet mine with 2 very portend assignments as well as exchange and 500 aditional dil refinement
    - Direct access to interfleet travel network to get access to Doff reports for fleet marks at base and contraband turn ins or consumables at embassy
    - Close proximity to DS9 as harbour if other stuff is needed

You wont find 1k+ SP assignments there but a lot others assignments with pay out good in dil and/or SP.

A doffing cycle takes 3 mins/toon in my case and I usually focus on assignments with an 4-12 hour duration and which pay 50+ Dil and/or 100+ SP. Works nicely. 8 of my 9 toons have one primary and one secondary spec tree filled after 6 moths into DR. And that easily without any grind attached to it. Atm I collect SP for alternate trees already.
