KLG Suits

I love the new KLG outfits! A far cry fry the traditional Klingon outfit fare, the KLG suits are shiny, metallic, futuristic, and stylish! Very hip, new, very SyFy.

They're way better looking than the old outfits! I LOVE THEM! <3

Also, all the little add-ons (that look lit Kit FX) are a nice touch!

But I've noticed that since they've been added, none of the officers on my starship interior (save my BO's) wear them.

None of the NPC's around First City wear them, either. In fact, now that the KLG suits have been added, all the NPC's in First City look outdated, their appearance too old fashioned.

Devs, Frands, it's time to give the Empire a makeover already!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE update the First City and Bridge NPC's to the KLG suits!

Moar Shiny! Moar Futuristic! More Style!

Speaking of bridges, now that my toons and BO's wear the KLG armor, all my bridges look outdated and old-fashioned as well.

I hereby submit a request to get some new Bridge Interior packs that look just as shiny, polished, and futuristic as the KLG suits.

I think it would be nice if all the ship interior NPCs, as well as your security escort NPCs, you could set the uniforms they would wear, this would apply to all the factions, I'd also like the NPCs on Qro'nos wear the Bortasqu' uniforms, like all the fed NPCs started wearing the Odyssey uniforms.

I have a feeling that he's referring to the old armour and kit visuals that weren't available to the klinks for a long time.

    Yes Sir, you are correct!

I will also assume that, seeing as how no one has voiced a disagreement, we're all on the same page here and that NPC's should wear these shiny shinies.

Personally I hate them, they look terrible, more like something the Fed's would wear rather than the KDF. The kit items however are a nice touch. Still they need to make it so all uniform pieces all through the game have the same colour palette.

Not to mention combine Uniform, Off-Duty, Formal together in one category so my BOFF can use them and I can also have more customisation options.

No. We're just stunned that anyone could possibly like them :/
The general consensus is that they are pretty awful.

I use the KLG pieces on my toons now and again.. Typically the gamma types because of the matt finish, where as beta is exactly the same as Alpha but with out the additiona of "tech Lighting" between the plates.. Looking like a Ghost from starcraft is all cool and good.. but we ain't play'n starcraft.

Remember the origin of the armored body suits in came was from a 'sode of vayager when janeway put on a rather flattering combat cat suit.. I belive Jakotes words were, "This is a new look for you captain, I approve." With a lift of a semi lecherous brow, and a smirk.. (it was very form fitting)

It's nice to have it availible and all my toons have a costume entry labelled "Battle Rattle", some more then one. The big issue is solid footwear.. and the armored footies they give ya are not acceptable.

Voth Boots, and Intel boots work very well with them. ROM toons can use vet boots which are excellent. Fed female toons can get quite the striking look using 7 of 9 tall boots.

Male toons... it's rugged finding foot gear that matches up, but go for more ulitlitarian looks such as the plain jane tall leather boots.

Having a broader palate of colors for the KDF would be nice.. maybe some none drab green.. and how about cammo patterns...? Has starfleet entirely forgotten about the low tech but still effective Gili suits?

Think I'm bad now wait till finish my morning coffee!

Frankly, the genericarmor skins suck no matter what faction. Unless, of course, one likes characters that look like Micronaught action figures. Those skins replaced they old armor item visuals and they are a better mechanic, but they are horrible Trek.

Using the Bortasqu uniform with the various career add on pieces you can make a great ground fighter uniform that has continuity with the games new standard uniform and it keeps the real Klingon warrior flavor. Or you can stay retro Klingon.

Oh, come on now! They're only awful when placed in a setting like First City or a Starship bridge surrounded by all sorts of non-shiny bone and stone and leather and wood and stuff of that non-shiny nature.

And also in sharp contrast to none of the NPC's wearing any of the shiny suits.

HENCE: The need for an Extreme Empire Makeover.
Just so you don't feel so out-of-place running around in them.

You, uh, wouldn't happen to remember the name of the episode or the season n which it appears off-hand, would you? I've been watching some Voyager lately, but have yet to run across that one . . .
