The tritium intermix was an adjustable feature in the warp core reactors of Klingon Starships. Activating this console will grant your ship a modest boost to Damage Resistance, Shield Resistance, and increase your EPS Power Transfer Speed.
1 min 30 sec cooldown
+20 All Damage Resist for 20 seconds
Reduces Damage to shields by 10% for 20 seconds
+50% Power Transfer Rate for 20 seconds

Klingon, think aggressive. The way I think the KDF would operate such a ship and something defiantly fun consider Commander Sci, LtC Eng/Pilot, Lt Eng, LT Tac, Ens Uni, to give folks a few options.
That console is maybe too potent.. consider increase cool down and reduce time of effect or seriously reduce the bonuses provided to half of what they are. Nothing modest about the numbers. A bit too potent.
Couple things... Cloak, or Advanced Cloak. Any intrinsic base stealth above or below normal? It is KDF after all.
Whats the ship mastery tier abilities/line, and is there a 5th tier special trait?
Instead of trying to copy the Dauntless, looking to the Pathfinder might fit better but switching the Pathfinder's engineering secondary leaning to tactical.
Cmdr Sci
LtCmdr Sci
Lt Eng
Lt Tac/Intel
Lt Universal
Consoles: 5 Sci, 3 Tac, 2 (+1) Eng.
Something like that.
Probably never gunna happen, but a man can dream....a man can dream.....
- The ENT version was an early battlecruiser.
- The Taldren and FASA ones were war cruisers.
That doesn't exactly equate to science vessel to me. Let's face it, if there is ever gonna be a pure science oriented Klingon ship, it wouldn't be based on a canon ship or any other existing design IMO. And no, the BoPs don't count as they can be whatever they need to be and lack many traits of science vessels.
"Let them eat static!"
That should have been totally obvious if you had bothered to look at the link embedded into the OP:

It's also the only logical choice given it's the only one Cryptic has the rights to.;)
*looks at the D'kyr Combat Cruiser from Enterprise*
*looks at the D'kyr Science ship in STO*
What's your point?
It's also very realistic to convert older naval ships for Science/intelligence operations after they've outlived their usefulness in other areas.

*EDIT: in addition STO turned a scout craft (the Raptor) into an escort/destroyer so turning an outmoded battlecruiser into a support/science/ELINT is no more absurd than that. By not making the Raptors the science ships they set the precedent for what linksword01 proposes themselves-*
The D5 was known as a small battlecruiser (small by 25th century standards) and if it is ever added to the game, that is what its gonna be. In fact I'm surprised they didn't use it as the tier 2 battlecruiser instead of the non-canon K'tanco.
I'm all for more Gorn/Lethean support vessels but a pure Klingon science ship other than the temporal one? Never gonna happen.
And a Vulcan ship converted to science still makes more sense than a Klingon one.
"Let them eat static!"
Well first of all, why send a science ship to kill someone if you have warships?
Sorry but your argument makes no sense. Does this mean when some leader of a Klingon house has an education in science this would mean all the ships he has must be science ships?
The same is true the other way around: you don't build an interstellar empire with guns alone.
You wouldn't know where to go, whom to fight and whether a system is worth fighting over and conquering in the first place without accurate information.
It's one thing noted again and again over the years with the Klingons:
they have more than just "boomboom". The Raptor was a scout ship.
Military scout/reconnaissance is in fact part of their fleet structure since at least the 22nd century. The same was noted on DS9, in Q-Less
KIRA: Sir, the Klingon scout ship has departed docking bay eleven.
SISKO: Good. I'll tell Odo he can relax now.
if it had been a Bird of Prey they'd have called it that and not scout ship.
What I'm trying to get across is this: "science" does not automatically mean exploration and tree-hugging. It includes keeping tabs on enemy fleets, which is especially important when you have an interstellar empire at your doorstep that loves cloak anything and everything and pulls neak attacks on your outposts.
It means electronic warfare: jamming and counterjamming.
"Science" in this sense is as much part of combat as a gun.
Do you really think the Klingons would have ignored an entire field of warfare and have nothing of that nature in their arsenal? They would have been conquered centuries ago.:)
oldkhemaraa: The ENT model D5 is what I was aiming for. As it was a battlecruiser in the 22nd century, it could be re-purposed into a support vessel.
reginamala78: I'll take your suggestion into account, but I still want to have a LtC Tactical. I chose Command instead of Intel because some of the Command powers would synergize well with a support vessel.
I run a Vesta with that and it does extremely well, slotting TS3. If I want insane damage, I slot Gravimetric Tropedoes with my Particle Manipulator trait. If I want extra CC, I slot my DMGx4 Chroniton Torpedoes instead.
cepholapoid: I didn't put a pilot station there because we have no data on how the powers work, since only the Focus Testers have access to them right now.
seriousxeno: See what I said to oldkhemaraa. As to your reply on Gorn ships, Geko said in a podcast that there probably won't be anymore off-species ships, hence why I chose a KDF Design.
I'll rework the Bridge Officer layout and add probably a basic cloak since it's a Klingon Ship. As to Mastery, It probably would be standard Science Ship. For the Trait, I can't really think of one, maybe you all can?
because then it is no longer a science vessel, as all science vessels are 3/3, i believe, though i could be wrong. Not counting the science destroyer since when it switches to 4/3 it loses it's sciency stuff
I'm aware of that, however, this is a KLINGON Science ship...I think going 4/2 would be a nice change of pace. Science ships are all about that forward 180 arc anyway with the deflector. By setting it up more aggressively, you get around a bit of that "Klingon's wouldn't make this" stuff, since its still aggressive, but with science bridge stations.
That is exactly what a KDF science ship would be, a re purposed obsolete cruiser.
