Thanks to Delta Recruit playthrough, got to The New Link again after awhile
My original complaints still stand despite the Changeling model was updated since the 2800 series...
We already know what Laas looks like when he assumes Humanoid form
Not all Changelings try to look like Odo, who I think this CHangeling resembles more than Laas from the show
Perhaps if this episode is revamped, and kept, they could redo the model for Laas to make more accurate from his appearance on the show
I have an issue with seeing a huge hatchery for the Jem'Hadar... and watching them worship their Changeling gods by kneeling and praising... I have never seen that, and never want to see that. They serve the Founders by fighting hard for them... not bowing and kneeling... that's more of a Vorta thing
What's wrong with the hatchery? The Jem'Hadar, as DS9 has suggested, would appear to come from eggs initially. The one thing that should be altered, if the episode survives remastering, is that we have the eggs beamed up with the intention of having them transferred back to the Gamma Quadrant.
Who is laying those eggs in the first place? Wouldn't they be a native species to the Gamma Quadrant, and not the Alpha or Beta Quadrants? Did they keep these animals with them on their ships after the War?
The Dominion brought a fair amount of their own equipment with them before the wormhole got cut off; it's how they're able engineer the "Alpha" Jem'Hadar in the first place while trapped on our side of the galaxy. I'd imagine that the facility on Devos II that Lamat'Ukan uses as the base for his Alpha Jem'Hadar forces was outfitted with the needed equipment.
