I used to be one of those " oh why does anyone play the Klingon empire they get absolutely nothing in the way of content" and for the longest time I never understood why anyone had a Klingon character except for contraband farming. But with Delta Recruits I decided why not and tried my hand at a Tac Klingon with a Jem'hadar name. I am having a lot of fun a lot more then I thought I was going to have the Klingon playstyle is radically different from how I play my Fed Chars so this new experience is amazing. So my fellow warriors I officially apologize for my previous dishonorable empire bashing actions.

Glad you saw the "light". KDF is very fun. I been playing mine since when you had to lv20 a Fed just to get KDF. Since then I have a KDF eng using battlecruisers. And a KDF Tac I'm leveling to use BoPs.

Truth I usually have more fun with my KDF over my Fed. Only one is tied is the Romulan.

It takes a great person to see where where he/she is wrong and an even greater one to admit it.
Welcome to the KDF and it's good to have such a great person on our side.:)

Well the KDF is the only faction that is close to canon/on-screen.

The Federation run around like Terran Empire soldiers. The Romulans aren't the Star Empire and are forced to align with the Federation who have always been their enemies (excluding that one time that it was for mutual survival aka Dominion War), or the Klingons whom they've only ever had two treaties with (excluding the Dominion War).

Plus the Klingon missions that are unique to the faction, Fek'Lhr and the LOR missions are just so fun and very Klingon. Thos missions never get boring. :D

A Fed who apologizes to the evul Empire!

    This is eresy...no wait...it's worse...it's betrayal!

    :D

The Alliance needs it KDF heroes, now more than ever.. We need them and our Romulan allies to, hell we need the Borg and Undine!!

STO is 3 factions with 3 stories and more to come, I have played every faction and career and then some (11 chars) Each has its own pros and cons, the KDF needs more attention then the Roms too, the Feds have plenty for now..

Well said and it's the sad fact it has been this way for a long time. Make more for the KDF and Roms and more people will play them, plus make a good portion of the customer base happy, a good portion who have felt neglected for a long time.

I remember those days, of having to reach level 20 on a Fed toon to unlock KDF play. I even made it to level cap on my KDF captain long before my Fed captain. I also remember them closing down KDF character creation for the revamp (first one) and the adding and removal of the K'tanco battlecruiser, and its subsequent return. Great little ship by the way, if you are going to shift into battlecruisers. You get a feel for what they are like early on, which is completely different playstyle than either raptors or BOPs.

With Delta, I decided to make ONE Fed recruit to replace an old alt I had sitting stalled at level 20 or so. I made one Rom/KDF to take advantage of the LOR/Scimitar packs I had purchased. And I made one actual true KDF captain to round out my careers. I mainly wanted to focus on KDF side, because Fed side has been getting more attention from me lately. The storyline for the KDF is fleshed out far better than it ever has been. Your advancement into the captain's chair is far more in line with lore than the Fed story. I do have issue with ONE aspect of the KDF tutorial - going to see the bat'leth master. That would be something you are taught and tested on before coming of age, but I do understand WHY it has to be there - for new players unfamiliar with melee combat.

While the KDF has come a long way since launch, I would love to see much more. A dedicated science ship of Klingon design for one. A T6 BOP, though I did hear that is on the way. More Klingon-centric story arcs, like the early arcs. I do like that one of the new STFs is focused on Q'onos. There is always room for more KDF content.

I've actually had an account since the game launched. When I first started playing - you had to start fed side and earn a KDF unlock. I quit playing because I was pretty disgusted with how little the KDF got back then.

I came back and fiddled around a bit more with some KDF/Fed captains but got bored. So DR brought me back essentially.

    I started 4 new Delta recruits: 1 Gorn, 1 Klingon, 1 Ferasan, and I KDF-Rom

And I've been having a blast. My Gorn and Klingon are both at 50. The other two have been gaining good levels through Doff'ng.

I figure when I get tired of my Gorn and Klingon Captains - I'll play the others. But I also have an old Lethean I dusted off and a Nausicaan that hasn't been played in years.

So that's what 6 KDF aligned Captains? I'm really enjoying the improvements that KDF side has received. But I can't help but think there's more that needs to be done. For example, Klingons desperately need more costume options.
