The new Galaxy (Enterprise D) Model/Texturing is OMFG Awesome!!!! This must have been a Trekkie with some serious TNG love and they deserve some credit.

Cryptic, please give this Artist a raise.

This kind of care towards STO is what makes me keep playing the game. Its not a perfect game, but it keeps getting better. As long as star trek online keeps giving me the old star trek universe with the new. I will be a devoted player.

Cheers STO team.

There is a very similar level of detail with the Command Ships as well, the last few ship releases have shown a marked improvement in design for sure.

The art team is definitely on their game lately, kudos!
    Insert witty signature line here.

I'm almost 100% sure that the artist behind this was Thomas 'The Cryptic Cat' Marrone. He did a splendid job on the new Galaxy Class model and the Andromeda Class both.

Iagree, it is a very good job, although I have to honest: Idon't understand the Andromeda's deflector dish. Does it look like it's supposed to?

Its a gorgeous ship. And i really like being able to use all the Galaxy skins how i like. I hope they finally stay this route with new T6 ships. Way to many non fed ugly ships in the game. Now please do a Galaxy X.

I don't know, it looks a bit odd to me. You have the dish which's texture looks a bt "stretched" (depending on hull meterial I guess) and then you have this central "object" poking through it. It looks like untextured mesh to me and I don't understand what it's supposed to be :o

I think the Andromeda looks superb but I really don't like the odd pylon shape when looking from above. They look warped in the middle.

I was more upset by the fact that the Andromeda pieces fit so poorly with the the other galaxy variants.

Such as using the the Andromeda neck with the Galaxy hull leaves a massive tail out the back.

The galaxy neck goes right through the deflector of the Andromeda hull as well and the nacelles join on to the pylons at very odd positions.

There is a patch incoming for the Andromeda/Galaxy pieces to fit better together.

My fav combination is Venture Neck and hull with Andromeda Saucer and nacelles. Looks simply gorgeous!
I've been waiting for such a ship design for YEARS!

Kudos and much honor to the artist!

As i said in another thread, i'd love if they would unlock Envoy and Celestial parts for the T6 Andromeda. I know they are not as detailled as the newer parts but there are some interesting and cool looking combinations possible.
(T4 Exploration Cruiser allows to mix and match all Galaxy Variants, btw)

I simply find it a pity and a waste of material.
