Hi :)

What is the difference between different colored bridge officers?


I checked the wiki, and I also remember from way back that higher quality BOFFs came with better skills.

But what about now? I know they made some changes after Legacy of Romulus.

    as far as I know, it just (somewhat) limits the quality of the abilities and traits that the can possibly have

    like, when looking for a particular rare ability on a boff (in the exchange) it might only be found on boffs of one quality level

    You've basically got your answer, wiki has enough up to date to answer the question. It revolves around the base/normal/traits, how many they have have of each and the chance of having higher tier abilities. Really blues and purples are the ones you probably want.

    Hi. So what has been said above is true: generally, 'purple' quality boffs have two traits at the "superior" level and two at 'normal'. Blue has 1 superior, 2 normal, 1 low. green has 2 normal, 2 low. and white has 1 normal and 3 low (iirc).

    In most circumstances, it is more important what the traits actually are, as opposed to what quality the trait is. But if you're looking to min/max then that's a whole different story.

    Generally blue bridge officers are worth having because they're so cheap (eg, <100 EC), though most purples are not expensive either (<30k) on the exchange. You might as well...
