Much like my Jupiter art assets thread I started last month, this is just about the visuals of the ship as it could apply to a playable version.
The baseline would be the original model, but redone with greater details. What sets it apart from the Sovy, Oddy, and Command cruisers is that the saucer is affixed directly to the secondary hull WITHOUT a neck, similar to the much discussed New Orleans class or the Intrepid.
Saucer:
Typhoon-Original robust saucer reminiscent of the Sovy, but much thicker and with more windows.
Hurricane-Oddy Saucer, but without a neck
Cyclone-Guardian Saucer without a neck
Tornado-Eclipse Saucer
Nacelles:
Typhoon- Original double nacelle on each pylon
Hurricane- Oddy Nacelle, single
Cyclone- Guardian Nacelle, single
Torndao- Eclipse nacelle, single
Pylons:
Typhoon-Original pylons (I assume they were the classic Sovy Pylons)
Hurricane- either Oddy pylons or the Regent pylons
Cyclone- Guardian Pylons (with imbedded smaller nacelles)
Tornado- Intel ship pylons or Imperial pylons
Secondary Hull:
Typhoon: Original hull with bland deflector
Hurricane: Oddy secondary Hull with appropriate deflector
Cyclone: Guardian Secondary Hull and matching deflector
Tornado: Intrepid Secondary hull with Intrepid deflector
I am not against that, but I also want the option for single nacelle on each pylon.
Oh, and to head off the "Command Crusiers are the new Typhoon" I counter by pointing out that the nacelle pylons connect to the saucer rather than the secondary hull. And, most of them look like a cross between the Eclipse and the Excelsior.
P.S. Did you draw that signature block? It is AWSOMENESSS!!!!!!!!
