Is there anything you DON'T complain about? I mean, we should just butcher anything that gives your Sci Ship trouble so this game turns out to be Sci Online.

Seriously, how low can you go?

This game was always scis online...some pve heroes would not agree but pve heroes don't count since they have not even a clue how to make a efficient build.

People call this game Escort Online for years. Science has been nuffed and berfed step by step since 1 or two years and it's still not the most favorite ship type.

Not but if that was about pvp it means you are a pve hero so not again this is NOT pve section

PvP was always who has the most scis wins so now go back to drozana and your pve.

I'd prefer things that require the tiniest shred of skill in order to land a kill.

A monkey could use BO3 (w/ Penetration DOff) and follow up with a Rapid Fire to land a quick kill without trying.

At least with a Vape, you've got to sacrifice a lot of defensive abilities and time your Alpha correctly. Now, all you have to do is land a BO.

Landing high BO hits used to be something that took skill.

It's great to have high damage, there's nothing wrong with spike damage... If it takes more than clicking a single skill.

Seriously? What about tact team? What about science fleet? What about SnB? What about polarized hull? What about using traits that makes your shields stronger? What about more resists? Rock n Roll? FBP? Sensor jam? lol

    Right. Those are all valid.

I'm not saying it's indefensible, I'm saying it's silly that you can get such high damage, with high penetration and potentially one-shot capability, by simply clicking 1 button with a low CD. It turns the game into Starfighters Online.

Especially since a Crit is supposed to be something relatively rare.

Crits are supposed to be rare? Not in any game I remember playing. They're just not supposed to be consistent, unless you can somehow push up to 100% chance (which some games do allow).
    SCM - Crystal C. (S) - [00:12] DMG(DPS) - @jarvisandalfred: 8.63M(713.16K) - Fed Sci

    SCM - Hive (S) - [02:31] DMG(DPS) - @jarvisandalfred: 30.62M(204.66K) - Fed Sci

    Tacs are overrated.

That's why I said 'relatively' rare.

You shouldn't be able to have a majority of your shots as Crits, let alone 100%.

Then it's not a Crit, it's just high damage.

Is it this one? Or is there a better one?
No. That's not true. Of course I could make the [Over] mod not drain power. Was it convenient to make planned changes to Beam Overload in order to alleviate the [Over] issue? Yes. But game balance changes to "meta" and "non-meta" powers have been planned for months now, and we're finally getting to start making them.

Please stop repeating this (albeit hilarious-sounding "ah ha devs are so dumb") soundbite. It's flat out not true.
