Seriously.... The Lagg is beyond a joke now....

It's been seemingly forever now since many have been able to play this game lag free.

In my experience recently it does not appear to be rubber banding as much as it has been, but instead freezing for fractions of a second constantly. I move a foot... Freeze...Move a foot...Freeze... Start turning the ship and it twitches all over the place.

It's seriously becoming very frustrating to play this game and I am now at the point where I am about to give up for 6 months and come back to see if things have changed.

I already know dozens of people that no longer play due to the way things have been. They log in, sort their doffs out and then log out again. Or they just sit in chat boxes.

The worst part is that we are now hearing about new delta recruits and new stf's, when what we currently have is unplayable ?

I really don't hold out much hope for a brighter future if things carry on the way they are.

So what exactly is the issue ? Server load ? Surely adding more stuff to a game that already cannot cope is not a wise move ?

In fact I don't even know why I bother to write this as we will get no response what so ever. We will be left to argue amongst ourselves and nothing more....

I fear the game I used to love and put hours and hours into each day and countless valuable hard earned £ is pushing away many of it's players.

Many of those that I know that no longer play happen to be subs to ! Not free to play. I myself sub and if they and we are no longer going to be playing and putting cash into the game, it's only going to go one way......

Please start to fix things before things go to far and you lose to many players.

I don't know about you, but I am only experiencing minor lag but not what you are saying. Where do you see most of the lag?

In pretty much all the STF's... Infected, Khitomer..... If I run with a pre built team they all have the same issues.

Even when I pug it seems to be the same. First game today was Khitomer which I decided to pug. Was lagging quite badly, 2 of the others typed into the chat box they were lagging, one of the others apologised and left the match as it was so bad for him....

The rest of us stuggled on as best we could.

It's clear it's not just me and is affecting so many people that its stopping them from playing the game.

For random people in pugged matches to mention the same issues shows the issues as they normally dont speak a word to anyone, not even a "thanks for the run" when finished.

Try a pathping. Cogent is probably eating your packets.

I jsut logged on, joined ISa with 4 pre mates and me nas 1 otehr got haaaard rubberbanding....

well the otehr 3 were able to carry us throu and i even got a superior beam tech in the end....

but still i didnt contribute anyth esle than a tac ahd intel fleet to this isa run...

Pretty much the same thing here. I'm fine for patrols (usually), sector space isn't an issue, but the moment I enter an STF it starts hitching. Oh and at starfleet academy. I sat down there in the main building laughing for about 15 minutes watching the NPCs take 3-4 steps then all stop for a split second before continuing on.

Also, someone above mentioned cogent and the thread wasn't instantly closed? Is someone napping? lol

I heard private matches of ISA are actually where server instability and lag are rerouted now.
