Question about tailor pieces

nethernynetherny Member Posts: 54 Arc User
I've noticed a few players on DS9 with glowing green amor pieces. I am familiar with the cool new glowy pieces, but I can not find the green in the palette, except in the belt part. These guys have glowing green chest and arms, etc.

So, I was wondering, how are they doing this? Is there some trick to it? Do I need to do something special with a piece of equipment?

Any help would be appreciated, as I am the type of person who can not stand to leave a mystery unsolved @_@

Thanks :)

A while back, they moved kit and armour visuals into the Tailor. These glowing things are just costume parts. I think Doctor pieces have the glowy things, but just scroll through the lists and you'll find them.

I have a combat outfit which uses a green glow on the arm to act like a combat hologram display when in the field. Looks pretty nifty.

If by "glowing green amor pieces" you mean holographic panels, a few science kit parts have them. At least the chest gears and the right wrist attachments.

Unfortunately, color selection in this game tend to be more or less limited. The holographics are restricted to a few blue and green shades. No, there is no trick to get better palettes, we're stuck with what the devs throw our way.

Sounds like the science kit pieces to me, but some armour and costumes have glowing attachments - the Dyson armour has a chest piece with coloured lights, for example, and the Intel outfits include a glowing wrist panel.

Okay, I think I have figured it out...

It's all Starfleet side characters that get access to the blue and green. Which makes sense, because all us KDF aligned peeps have always had a sucky color palette.

Also, I was only noticing this on DS9 or maybe Drozana. Since all my toons are KDF sided, this would be my only opportunity to encounter starfleet people.

Also, I saw a guy with the glowing blue armor pieces and he was indeed Starfleet. We don't even get blue, not to mention green.

But, that makes me wonder, Do Starfleet people get access to the red that we get? How about purple? Ah, well live and learn.

Nope, red is for KDF and KDF allied Romiis. :)

I don't recall purple, only on the voth light soldier outfit wich is the same for both factions.

The intel oufit offers all colours for all factions as well.

the security 2 shoulder piece on the right shoulder doesnt have an adjustable light color changer, but the security 2 on left one can be altered in color. i mean there is no option at all to change it.
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.
