Romulan Or Reman Tactical

Good Day,

So a lot have probably seen me around the forums. I know Science and I know Engineering rather well, but know next to nothing on tactical since in like 5 years of play I don't have a single tactical captain to my name.

So with the release of the Delta Recruiting I figured it's time to change that and make one, specifically a Romulan or Reman.

Problem is I know next to nothing about how Tacticals and Romulans/Remans synergize and play well together. I plan on ending up in one of the T6 Intel ships and I plan on ground having at least a stealth module in my kit.

Otherwise I have no idea what I'm doing.

So first question... Romulan or Reman... which is better for a tac and why?

Then which T6 ship would be recommended and how best to build it. I figured plasma dual beam banks up front, maybe a PEP or Rom Rep Torp, and in back a KCB and a Plasma Omni with tac consoles to match, but I'm not 100% positive. Also not sure which BOff skill layout I should use (which of course depends on the ship).

It really depends. If you roll Romulan, that means you'll want a Reman with Superior Infiltrator, which means you'll lose a Superior Operative that you could have (but as a Romulan you have the standard Operative trait available). On a Reman you'll lose out on the Superior Operative but gain the ability to have all 5 Superior Infiltrators. Also, Remans have Mind Drain (like the Lethean Rapture only it is a health heal too), making them better on the ground.

IMO if you don't have the Delta Pack go Reman, as if you're doing it right the Standard Infiltrator should be all you need before your target's dead and you've recloaked. If you do have the Delta Pack go Romulan, as the Intel Reman BOff comes with both Superior Operative and Superior Infiltrator.

As far as ships go, if you want maximum DPS you have 2 choices. If you want a cruiser FAW build the Scimitard is still pretty well top dog. If you want a speedy escort that does massive single target damage then the Faeht is your ship. I've heard the Command cruisers are pretty good too (especially the Tactical one, it's trait is OP).
