Quick quesiton on crafting

I am about to hit 15 in all schools. I have the Aegis R&D doff and have made a few Aegis sets, but now am interested in the sniper rifle. First, is it worth it as a ground weapon? If so, where do I get the ground R&D doff? Can I buy them off the exchange or is it only a drop from the recruiter in the Academy, like the Aegis doff?

The weapon is great. I've been making them and handing them out to fleet members, and it's pretty much all they use now. As for the doff, you can find them on the exchange. Drops-- yes, Exchange yes. Search for Xindi lockbox doffs or the Kobali doffs. Last time I checked, the Kobali ones were much cheaper.

The rifles are down to a starting price of a little over a million and a half on the exchange now. Better deal that way, unless you plan on making a TRIBBLE-ton of them.

I've tried searching for these doffs by name and aside from the first one (white) which sells at 15 mil + I can't seem to locate any.

I have a spare "Thyuliya" (or some such spelling), and no need to craft anymore ground weapons. You can "borrow" her for awhile, or I could probably make you a cheap TRIBBLE deal.
